Kind of hilarious to me how poorly the title "Mob Psycho 100" localized to English-speaking areas. To someone whose first language is English, it scans as:

But in Japanese it scans as:

"Psycho" to mean "someone with psychokinesis" has been an anime thing since the 70s so I knew that one but the meaning of "Mob" really never crossed my mind. I thought it was just his name for no reason at all.

it's very special and cool the way the three official games of the first season have some kind of personal Thing with the karasuno boys

All three teams had a blue/white color scheme to contrast karasuno's orange and black, and all three teams had a personal connection with karasuno in some way, and all of them build up to the final game

Daichi knew Ikejiri from Tokonami, and their relationship was amiable. He left a big impact on Ikejiri, inspired to keep playing, and promised to keep winning games for both Karasuno and Tokonami.

Asahi had sustained trauma from Date Tech's iron wall, leaving him with a lot of doubt and fear about playing and his place on the team, as well as damaging his relationship with Nishinoya. The game was then about helping Asahi overcome this and break through the wall.

And Kageyama both personally knew like half the people from Seijoh and all of them fxcked him up in middle school. His demanding behavior, lack of communication skills, and their lack of patience with him resulted in trust issues and self doubt. The game, and perhaps even the season as a whole, is about him overcoming this, learning how to communicate and build up relations and confidence, not just in his volleyball skills but also in himself as a person, as a teammate.
