every single country that has voiced support for israel's "self defense", every single politician, anchor, news outlet, zionist, and person baying for the blood of palestinians is complicit in genocide. (Oct. 17) a hospital was purposefully bombed today, killing 500 people (the death toll bound to climb as reports come in), and israel says "hamas" as a paper-thin flimsy excuse to justify murdering doctors, patients, and everyone sheltering there. western media pieces of shit will say "major loss of civilian life" in the face of real-time genocide like it was simply an unfortunate incident or natural disaster. like isarel didn't deliberately murder human beings. israeli historian and genocide scholar said this a textbook case of genocide. and the west still does nothing, and worse than nothing: aiding and generating propaganda to justify it. COMPLICIT. COMPLICIT IN AND PARTY TO GENOCIDE.

It's really funny how, in terms of doing diversity, star wars isn't even as good at it as MARVEL. Like Marvel is not even good at it, like at ALL.

Marvel doesn't actually represent different cultures well or do it respectfully. They just do empty soulless gentrifications of different cultures meant to appeal to a wide audience. Like marvel diversity is just a marketing scheme, of doing the bare minimum, meant to make money from minorities without losing money from racists.

But star wars can't even do THAT. They don't even have women of color. They have a few men of color and then treat them horribly and sideline them in favor of their white characters and actors. The only "attempts" Disney Lucasfilm makes at diversity is they'll keep adding new brunette white women to every single thing they put out. And they only do it cause it somehow gets them good press every time.

But the very small amount of characters of color that they do add to star wars doesn't even make up for the sheer amount of racial mistreatment that these characters and actors STILL face.

I still can’t wrap my mind around the fact a star wars trilogy made in the 2010s managed to feature more abuse apologia and the “it’s a woman duty to fix a man” bs than a trilogy made in the late 1970s-early 1980s.

And equally as important as the aforementioned, considering everyone at Disney and Star Wars were patting themselves on the back for being inclusive and having poc in their main cast– I still can’t wrap my mind around the fact a star wars trilogy made in the 2010s managed to feature more racism and racial stereotyping than a trilogy made in the late 1970s-early 1980s.

And don’t forget that a movie trilogy made in the 2010s actively diluted the intense anti-fascist feeling and indictment of the clogged bureaucratic government that allows fascists to gain power of a trilogy made in the 1990s, and a trilogy made in the 1970s-80s.

Considering that Finn was part of the first order like Ben, it would've made so much more sense for Leia to have a mother/son relationship with him rather than Poe and I'll forever be salty that this relationship was never even slightly entertained or explored in the sequel trilogy. Finn deserved to have a mentor and it 100% should've been Leia.
