it doesn’t matter whether you were a fan of shinee or not. it doesn’t matter what fandom you’re from, army, exo-l, aroha, monbebe, whatever, because we didn’t lose an idol. we didn’t lose kim jonghyun the singer, songwriter, we didn’t lose kim jonghyun the lead vocalist of shinee, because his legacy will always live on and he will always be a part of the idol community in korea and across the world. we lost the amazing human being kim jonghyun. we lost the kim jonghyun who fought for the lgbt community and low income families, we lost kim jonghyun the dog lover and creative mind. they are two sides of the same coin, but don’t forget there is another side. the side of the coin that is kim jonghyun as a human being with a heart bigger than life is who we lost today, so let’s mourn him as human beings who cherished him and not just fan bases.

I am disappointed that WINNER didn’t win more awards that they deserve especially after all that they and Inner Circles went through. I’m also disappointed that WINNER wasn’t even nominated for SOTY after the records that they broke. 

But what hurts more is that WINNER knows all of us are upset and tried to console us through their V-Live. They apologized for not having a larger fanbase compared to other groups and apologized to us for not being that popular. 

We don’t need a trophy to know that you are winners. The public knows how popular ‘Really Really’ is, we know how popular it is, and we have the numbers to back it up. We know that WINNER was the only boy group to have 2 million unique listeners. We know that they stayed in the Melon Top 10 for 9 weeks (the longest for any boy group). We know they are one of the most downloaded idol group songs and they are also the most streamed idol group song as well. The records are there. I’m just sad that they couldn’t get SOTY to show the efforts that they went through. Korean fans have been demanding Melon to clarify their SOTY criteria. 

But we have to remember, we did as much as we could. We streamed as hard as we could and the public loved WINNER so much. We couldn’t have asked for a more amazing year and I hope that with their next comebacks, we can fight back and support them even more (YG please)

But like why is there still this concept that males don’t like cute mushy romantic shit and being emotionally taken care of? Just the other day I was cuddling with my boyfriend and after admiring him for awhile I told him, “Your eyes are so beautiful, they look like mini oceans” and I swear to god I heard him squeak in embarrassment and saw his cheeks actually begin to blush. Sometimes he likes being the little spoon and although I’m half his size I’m always happy to play jet pack. If he’s having a bad day he knows he can lay his head on my shoulder and just bawl his eyes out and I won’t think any less of him. Guys have emotional needs and want to feel loved and taken care of too yanno.

Slowly, ever so slowly, things began to change. Andrew, unaware of how small things could make such problematic differences, began to notice different affectations between himself and Neil, and doesn’t realise how much it matters.

Oh my god I just remembered my dream!!!! I woke up in cold sweat at 2am and wrote it down in case I forget.

So I basically dreamed a teaser to Winner’s new song. It wasn’t the December comeback though, but a digital-only release with a MV. The song was named ‘Fault’, a sad ballad, Mino had blonde hair and Jinwoo’s hair was light brown. They were crying.

Tonight a friend told me about this and I haven’t seen anything about it on here so I thought I’d share this:

Voices 4 Chechnya will be marching on October 14th in NYC (starting at the Stonewall Inn at 2) to protest Trump’s silence on the Chechnya Crisis and plea that visas be granted to LGBTQ+ Chechens.
