Star Wars Jedi: Survivor | Official Teaser | Coming 2023 #SCREAMING CRYING THROWING UP #IS THAT THE GRAND INQUISITOR??? #GOD I CAN’T WAIT FOR THIS GAME

Listen. I swear I'm not ignoring the canon right know and I'm not creating fanon in which Crosshair definitely still has his chip and after its removal he had to run away from the Empire. And I'm totally not thinking  about the idea that after his escape he meets a young, sarcastic padawan whom he has to reluctantly take care now. And after the family reunion Omega will befriened this padawan and will have a new sibilongs of her age.

Nope. I'm totally not thinking about that.

Okay so I’ve seen this thing going around…

That Crosshair wasn’t lying about the chip being out. About how the writers/producers/whoever “confirmed” it. Not sure where the original source of that is, if anyone has the link I’d like to see it, but I’m going to go out on a limb here and say this:

Crosshair wasn’t lying, because he truly does believe that the chip is out.

Bear with me here…

EVERYTHING we see and hear after he says that points to the chip STILL BEING THERE.

1. He doesn’t give a specific date when the chip was removed. Why not just say, “It was after Bracca” ? That would be easy to say, but he doesn’t, because he doesn’t know when it was “removed” because it never was. The Empire just made him THINK it was removed, or brainwashed him.

2. He has a headache IMMEDIATELY after he defies his orders and helps the Batch. THIS right here is the part that made me think that the chip MUST still be there. It makes more sense that he would still be getting headaches because the chip is there, rather than create some new thing where the chip is removed but it is leaving residual effects, which has never happened in ANY other clone EVER.

3. There is absolutely NO indication of a scar where it should be. Some people say that they took the chip out through his wounds on his head but like…it’s not really in the same place, and it doesn’t make a whole lot of sense. These chips have always been touchy and they need to be taken out PRECISELY where they are otherwise they cause a whole host of problems.

4. WHY would the Empire remove their trump card from play? Logically speaking, this makes no sense on the Empire’s part. If Crosshair requested the chip to be removed they would have refused, probably thinking that he wanted to defect. But then why would the Empire remove the chip on their own accord, AND also tell Crosshair? It would make him more prone to desertion, it would remove their stranglehold over his mind and actions. But if they TOLD him they “removed it,” or BRAINWASHED him into thinking that all these actions are his own, they could trick him into being more loyal to something that he normally wouldn’t be loyal to.

5. “Soldiers follow orders!” Crosshair said that line again, which ONLY fully-activated chipped clones say. He never said this before the chip’s activation, and no one else in the Batch said it, except for Wrecker when HIS chip was active. This batch of clones does not fully believe in following orders, there’s no reason he would still be saying this if his chip was out.

6. He has ANOTHER headache! Seriously, if the writers truly intended for Crosshair to be speaking the truth about the chip being gone, they would NOT write into the script: “Crosshair holds his head in his hand, groaning in pain” 3 SEPARATE TIMES (I’m including the one from episode 1). NOTHING in animation is wasted, every single frame is written into the script, story-boarded, animated, and then fully lit. If they truly wanted us to think that Crosshair was without his chip, they would NOT have animated this 2 times after he said that.

7. I don’t think he’d be loyal to the Empire if the chip wasn’t there. Yes, we know all about how he feels betrayed by his brothers and that’s why he’s staying with the Imps, but in all honesty if the chip wasn’t there, he would defect. Maybe not go back to his brothers because there’s obviously a lot of issues there, but he wouldn’t stay with the Empire. This is all speculation on my part, but it’s the vibe we seem to get from Crosshair.

8. Crosshair saves AZI, a droid which has the capability of detecting and removing inhibitor chips on his own. Remember how AZI removed Fives’ chip? The fact that AZI was saved by Crosshair (he was probably focusing on Omega, but he couldn’t very well attach that grappling hook onto her body, it had to be on AZI) is definite foreshadowing that AZI will return the favor by removing the chip from his head.

AZI didn’t NEED to be saved in the script. Omega could have floated to the surface in her pod and she would have been safe, but she goes back to save him, and Crosshair ends up saving them both. The writers could have written AZI out of the script entirely with his death by tragically floating to the bottom of the ocean, but the writers wanted him ALIVE. Why? He must serve SOME purpose or function other than being Omega’s friend. It’s not like the Bad Batch NEEDS another droid when they have Gonky and, to an extent, Echo and Tech, to serve those needs. AZI is being saved for later in season 2 for a specific purpose. Let’s hope that’s the case.

In the end, I will probably be 100% wrong and the writers are doing the stupidest thing by saying “the chip is out” when clearly the animation and script says otherwise. I will DIE on this hill until it’s completely confirmed IN THE SHOW in season 2.

I’m in it for the long haul lads, anyone want to join?

I have a feeling that Crosshair is guaranteed to survive ep 16.

First of all, regarding the chip: I believe what he told Hunter was he own thoughts and he still has the chip. When Crosshair countered Hunter with “and I did?” that suggests Crosshair already realized he was under the chip’s control, which couldn’t possibly happen if his chip was still fully activated at that moment (Evidence: Wrecker apologized to Omega, telling her he couldn’t fight back the chip after his chip was removed). And the lack of chip-removal scar + AZI’s presence + Crosshair holding his head indicate he still has the chip, but I think the chip only controls him sometimes and whether the signal is strong enough is also subject to debate.

If that is the case, it means that Crosshair’s story has just begun: we would want to see someone who believed the Empire needed him (so he served the Empire willingly) and the Empire wouldn’t leave him to die grapple with the fact that the Empire didn’t care about him at all, and we would want to see Crosshair fight against the Empire at some point if not in season 2. So when he gave his brothers a chance, this in turn gave him a second chance: to survive and face the fact that his faith in the Empire was misplaced.

But the most important reason is that in season 1, the bad batch are essentially 4 members plus Omega, if Crosshair sacrifices himself for the batch then in season 2 we would still watch the same crew traveling across the galaxy, so where’s the change and where’s the difference between season 1 and 2?

Whether Crosshair stays with his brothers or not, he lives.

This was such a logical train of thoughts and you raise so many good points. I really hope that you're right.

Especially because of the hints you mentioned, Crosshair not having a scar and AZI being miraculously there, also the way Hunter checked his head... So many signs that he still has the chip.

It would be wonderful to get it removed and have him back for the next season. As you said, his story has barely started and there's so much more to do with him.

But it's always in the back of my mind that he won't survive. I'm terrified. Because we know the chip removal is a dangerous procedure, we all remember what happened to Tup. I'm also afraid of him sacrificing himself for the batch as his last act, it would be something star wars would do and they definitely need something emotional in the finale.

But this is only the finale of the first season and we all know Filoni likes to break us in the whole series finale. So let's hope we will get Crosshair back and that the bad batch will be together again.

I really hope that in the next season they are going to face external struggles instead of internal, I just want to see more of their bond that was shown in their the clone wars arc.

May the force be with us✨

I don’t want Crosshair to have an Anakin Skywalker redemption arc.

I want Crosshair to have a Bucky Barnes recovery arc.

I don’t want Crosshair to do a bunch of dark, evil things, get the chip out or have a change of heart or realize what he’s doing is wrong, do one good thing or save someone’s life, and then die for it.

I want Crosshair to do a bunch of dark, evil things, get the chip out or break through the chip and realize what he’s doing it wrong, do something good and/or save someone’s life, and then survive to have to deal with the repercussions and face the consequences.

Not legal consequences. Crosshair is, at the end of the day, a victim of the Empire. He’s being mind controlled. He’s been brainwashed. He’s been Winter Soldier-ed.

Yes, he’s killing civilians. He’s hunting his brothers. He’s hurting people. He’s ruining lives. He’s killing people. But his actions are not his fault. He’s just the puppet, the Empire is pulling his strings. He has no control. He’s being forced to commit these crimes. However… he’s still the one doing them. And he has to face the emotional repercussions of doing that. He has to redeem himself to the people he hurt in able to recover from that trauma.

I could go on and on about the parallels between Crosshair in just the first 3 episodes alone, and the Winter Soldier. There are direct, scene for scene parallels between the two characters. I want so desperately for them to continue that trend.

coming back to say, after that tbb episode, i’m secretly hoping crosshairs head injury has impaired his chip somehow and he’s actually playing the empire for info and influence and next ep he’ll be like oy hunter let’s kick this rampart’s asssssss

The way that in this scene Crosshair probably went willingly because they hurt Hunter and he wanted to protect the others, thinking that he was worth less anyways I-

I'm sorry if anyone thinks this is reaching but you can see it in his eyes. In any other scenario he would have beaten that reg up. But not now, when they only wanted him and he knew that if he went willingly they would leave his brothers alone.

Here he kind of gave himself up for the others.

I know I should be more demanding but the truth is if I get:

• Saved Crosshair back with his family

• Wrecker hugging Crosshair

• Some nice talk between Hunter and Crosshair (because they relationship has so much pontential!)

I'll be so happy, that I'll forget all my complaints about this series. Well... At least for a few hours.

shoutout to the corner of tbb fandom that yells "WHAT ABOUT CROSSHAIR" every week, we're doing amazing and totally aren't heartbroken from how conflicted and sad our boy looked this latest episode

Diego has adhd actually I Think

-impulsive

-unconventional job with late hours on top of late night vigilante justice his sleeping schedule is probably set 4am-noon and any time he's seen in the morning he probably hasn't slept (despite what he says about his body being a temple)

-hyperfixates on specific tasks to the point of ignoring everything else (avenging Patch, stopping the jfk asassination)

-fidgets with his knives and he can't sit still for more than a couple minutes

-speech issues

-dropped out of the police academy because he hated the beurocracy of it

-was all of 2 minutes into a 90 minute orientation video before he just got up and left

-difficulty regulating emotions
