Rant
I just wanted to make a quick rant. Things have been absolutely crazy within the past few weeks, this week specifically. With the increase in subscribers has come a change in Leafy, a change in his videos, and a change in our community. Things are not as they used to be. His videos are less comical and more hateful and the community has become less peaceful as a result of that. As many of you know, I am very vocal about my differing opinions toward recent Leafy content. I have found that in being vocal, more people have been coming forward and sharing their opinions and experiences as well. That is a huge plus, but it has also brought out a lot of people who disagree with us and would rather ride Leafy's dick than build their own opinions and understand why there are people who are genuinely hurt and upset. What I want to say is that, just because I am someone who runs a Leafy fan blog does not mean I will keep quiet about things I disagree with just because it is coming from someone I cared enough about to dedicate an entire blog to. I made this blog before things were like this and was in complete fan girl mode, you could even say the "honeymoon" phase. Although I am well past that, the idea of Leafy obviously still holds a piece of my heart because his videos were once something that I was so passionate about (I've never made a fan blog for anyone else in my life). Anyways, I guess what I'm trying to say is that no, I do not hate Leafy and I do still enjoy some of his content. But I do disagree with him and a lot of the things he says, and I am entitled to that 100% even though I run a blog about him. My morals do not always align with Leafy's (or his lack thereof) and I will not sit here and worship someone just because some of you have a hard time understanding that don't have to be a full blown hater to criticize someone's content. Make jokes about me being a social justice warrior, the stereotypical Tumblr user who is triggered by everything. I am not ashamed to stand for what I believe in and I agree, this blog wasn't originally intended to be political at all but honestly, I'm not sorry because there are people who are Leafy fans who felt invalidated, not only because of his content but because there are people telling them that they are not allowed to have these opposing opinions against Leafy. I'd like to think that my blog has become some sort of safe space for those people because they know that there is someone who understands what they're feeling. To those people, I want you to know that you and your feelings ARE valid and that you SHOULD speak up, despite the people telling you not to. You guys are the reason this blog remains and I care for you all. And to the people who disagree with the content I choose to put on my own blog, I hope that you some day realize why people are upset (this is so much deeper than Leafy content, I'm talking life in general at this point). You don't have to be going through what they are to be sympathetic. I also hope that you all learn to formulate your own opinions in life instead of this mob mentality you all seem to have. This rant was way too long and I am done for now, so with all that being said thank you all for taking the time to read this and I love each and every one of you who don't spam my inbox with hate on a daily basis. 🙃

it honestly sucks so much that he keeps making these feminist videos like?? i want to like him... but no... i am genderfluid... he would literally hate me for my identity... like when my friend said he's not a good dude and that they hate him, i was kind of annoyed, but now im like... i agree...
The worst part is that Leafy sees people saying these things about him and automatically calls us triggered SJW's when really we're all just people who have feelings and the message he's spreading in his latest videos is making people feel invalid, unsafe and unwelcome by someone they love and support. What he should be taking from it all is that he's hurting a lot of his fans and that the things he is saying are very incorrect but unfortunately I don't see that happening.
