[Counts out her fingers to three, mouth slightly agape as she squints at him.]

[ He didn’t have to think of it very hard. Had been a while since he’d been around any kind of fireplace. It made the experience a bit novel in his mind. Even if they were fairly common. The clinic sure didn’t have one. ]

Then I’ll probably take you up on that. Whenever you’re so inclined.

Well tha's th'easy part, but, I f'igured people like t'bring stuff? When they vacation, which I, get, but, s'an easy stop whenever. Though, mm.

[Pulled out her phone for a quick check before shrugging.] Bit rainy and stormy next week er two, but nicer'n fuckin cold n'windy.

"Uh-huh? M'not sure I believe that."

Pursed her lips. Had hoped for more of a reaction but seeing as she was fairly dulled herself, it wasn't much of a bother.

"Y'should get t'least one tat."

[ That seemed... more acceptable to him, for some reason. Less trepidation about that kind of thing. He had to acknowledge that Enya was being some level of kind about it all. Surprisingly. He might have thought that the second he stopped being indifferent about it that she would have lost interest. ]

Uh. Well. I think I could manage that, yeah.

[ Because when all was said and done... he was into it. And it wasn't as though they hadn't done it before...

Wheeze. Okay. He could be okay with this. ]

[Added for solid confirmation. His confidence sounded a bit shaky and though that wasn't a high priority, especially now, she'd like some sense of certainty. Trying!

That, and the added layer of physical contact... Coupling the two concepts wasn't a hard line, obviously, but it would be some weight off her mind if she thought was somewhat enthused.]

Hhhheh. [An unhappy exhale at this point. Popping a squat with head in hand. Elbow on knee. Tired of the matter and everything around it. Not really Enya's fault on that.]

[Watches her slowly collapse into that hunched pile. Even if Enya had more proactive energy, she wouldn't of thought to reach out and touch Devang. Pat on the shoulder sort of thing. Might of been a good idea. Grounding? But had a feeling that might not be the best option, too.]

Yeh.

The whole...treatin' me like I'm not a regular fuckin' person with people thoughts and feelin's and...I don't know. That, when you decided I shouldn't need shit 'cause obviously being old and tough means I'm on some kind of other level of existence.

Used to be fine. Worked for my image. But I'm not even working anymore and I've been acting more like a person for a few years now--but I come out...out of the hole... [Did Enya even know about that? Fuck if she could remember.] And I'm not seen. I'm tired.

[Frowned, but the quiet attitude at least muted her impulses for the time being. Gave her the proper amount of time to process Devang's words beyond responding with a nuh-uh. Ended with a short cough-laugh.]
