Frisk had decided to go swimming with Chara, just to cool off and have fun. They were currently wading in the water, smiling sweetly. “Cmon! Let’s have fun!” The pool was empty save for the two of them. That was a perfect opportunity for alone time.
They knew Frisk all too well to think that they wanted any kind of innocent fun. “And what kind of fun were you thinking of, Frisk?” They asked, raising an eyebrow in curiousity.
"Hmmm...~ Anything you want but I'm guessing you're thinking dirty since you're a perv." They giggled, splashing at Chara.

Final Homestuck Upd8 and Thanks to Hussie
So, first of all, the ending was beyond beautiful. Shoutout to AH and the person who made that beautiful ending animation (A.K.A. The one who did lullaby for gods storyboard!). Honestly, it was gorgeous in every way possible.
Now, the upd8 itself may have left people a bit unsatisfied or left a bit to be desired, but it closed things off nicely. I’m not gonna say much about it cuz I’m not gonna spoil anyone who may not have tag blocker or are on mobile. Also, I want people to read this.
When I started homestuck it was 2010 at probably one of the hardest times in my life. I started it in the summer so I had all the time in the world to be a vegetable, plant my asscheeks, and read. I read through it all pretty quickly, being the person I am. I had to skip flashes sometime so I may not have seen all the flashes, but I plan on rereading anyways now that it’s ended. I’ll probably reread it thousands of times because that’s something that helped me so much.
My first con was in 2014, in which I met one of my datemates who I’ve now been with for almost a year and a half. We met in davekat cosplay and we’re still cosplaying davekat together to this day. I also met so many great people through homestuck, most of my friends, fans, and some of the most talented people I’ve ever met. I won’t lie, it lead me to some toxic people but it also lead me to some of the greatest people I’ll ever know.
It introduced me to cosplay, which was a passion I’d never thought of pursuing. I started with a (really shitty) Karkat cosplay (human of course). I eventually moved up the metaphorical echeladder of cosplay. I met beautiful (and handsome) cosplayers of all kinds.
I know this’ll be cliche af, but homestuck saved my life, made it better, and helped me break out of my shell. It was there for me through the toughest of times, gave me something to obsess over and talk about, and just gave me a purpose. It helped widen my horizons of roleplay, sexuality, romance, gender, and everything under the sun.
I bet you’re all tired of reading this by now, or are asking what’s the point if this wasn’t about the final upd8. I’ll tell you what it was about. I want to give thanks where thanks is due.
Thank you Hussie. Thank you for all the tears, the laughs, the groans of frustration. I’d be lying if I said I didn’t wanna punch you but also hug the shit out of you. Thank you for letting Karkat be happy, for letting them all be happy. Thank you for giving me an outlet to express myself, inspiration to do my own thing, and the imagination I thought I had lost. Just all around, thank you and fuck you. You’ve done so well, you’ve finished it. You did it. You’re probably the one who was looking forward to the ending most of all. Even though it’s over, it’s not. It never will be. The fans will keep it alive. The fanworks, roleplays, and everything else will continue to exist and be made. Talented people have come and gone through this fandom, been shaped by it, and found their talents and passions through it. I’d like to think I’m one of those people. Though I may never be able to be on top, I’ll always aspire to be.
One more thing I want to touch on. Please, have a moment of silence for those characters who didn’t make it who deserved nothing less than true happiness. A moment of silence for the people who’s favorite characters never made it, didn’t come back, and never had the chance. A moment of silence for the end of what could be the greatest work of literature and art that we may ever know.
