So uh I went overboard

I did me, swell, in my usual getup doing art

And then I did my Courier. The jacket is meant to represent the one the Boomers give you if you complete all their quests (?) and the knife is the Cosmic Knife from Dead Money. (— also for the meme —)

And then I did House —

– as you do, y'know, he's the blorbo, it's cute. The outfit is based on something I actually painted traditionally for him and on him. The pin is to reference my own personal AU where he, at one point, married all three of the human counterparts of his unique Securitrons, those being Jane, Victor, and Mary-Lynn (— Marilyn in the actual game —). The potted plant is another au reference where he, my Courier, Keely from Vault 22 and Wilson (— I think was her name? @sullxo correct me on that —) from OSI turn Southside into a massive farming project and progressively the whole of Vegas starts looking like an urban garden scape in a 100 years or something. The grid is the missile grid he has over the Mojave or a grid of the Mojave in general.

And for a final, I did my Nintendogs trainer who I'm going to make an actual oc at some point

This is Rhett. He has a lemon cocker-king charles spaniel mix, her name is Soap (— blame CoD —). He's ex-military (— also blame CoD —) and now works for a security firm/tech company. He's ginger, like Iosif my Courier, because Iosif is the base for all my non Fallout shit by nature of whack character design habits.

i love when people use slight seemingly typoed versions of words as new words in themselves to evoke completely different feelings. i love yeag i love woag i love ouppy i love fuckign and switching -ing's to -ign's. i use them Often and their usage could not be replaced by the actual words im trying to say

idk something about using words that seem like typos and mistakes when really there can be SO MUCH intention behind it. like ill admit to having spelled words correctly and then going back to fix it and make it "wrong" there's NUANCE it's not just a typo,

in addition to the fact that people just have different natural rhythms, a big reason why we can’t seem to go to bed as early as we “should” is that nighttime is, for many of us, our safest and most fulfilling time of day. we don’t have to work, we won’t be contacted by bosses or insurance companies or collection agencies or other suffocating life business… we’re likely only to be contacted by our friends, or by no one at all. night time is release; it’s ours. we can rest or recreate. we can do things we actually want to do. who would choose to cut that short?? just to usher in the next morning when our lives are not our own again? nighttime is precious and nothing could be more normal than the desire to embrace this

I think a big thing that people are overlooking is how Hobie looks out for his own and how much that coincides with punk culture.

Him looking out for younger teens is so fucking punk of him. He lets Gwen stay with him because she's vulnerable and struggling, he makes her a watch, he lets her keep his shoes, etc. and it's not out of romance, it's because she's family. Same with Miles; he knows Miles is naive and wants to help him, because he's been in the spider society longer and he knows what's really going on. He sees the adults, who are supposed to mentor them, targeting Miles and he just knows it's flat-out wrong and that he wants no part of it.

Hobie takes on such a big brother role for the other characters and I love it. He's more mature than the other teens in so many aspects, and he uses his experience to teach them how to get by because that's what being punk is about
