“When we get to New York, I’ll teach you. We don’t have a lot of time, we have to start the prep now. Soon as they get here, we’ll channel them. They should be coming any minute. The less time we spend channeling them the better. So share the spell with the class and we can get out of here.” Maly explained, holding her hands out for Raven to take. Anytime this century boys.
“Well definitely be something worth learning, could come in handy. Never know when you need to dodge someone” Raven nodded as she got ready to take Maly’s head to do the spell when there was an explosion not far from them soon a black truck come rolling their way and it suddenly stopped as close to the barrier as it could and Vergil stepped out armed with a grenade launcher.
“I always wanted to use this” Vergil held up the grenade launcher at the arched eyebrows of Raven and Maly. “Explosive rounds laced with holy water, goes boom and stops any demon bastards in their tracks” He looked to Maly. “No offense” He looked around. “Where the hell is Damien and your brooding friend at?”
Maly looked at Vergil with a raised eyebrow and a questioning look. Almost she was too old for this wild shit. “Anyway.” Maly said, snapping into existence her grimoire and flicking through her pages. His question made her pause, remembering that Desmond went with Vergil - a feat that neither were too thrilled about. “No idea, shouldn’t Des be with you?” She asked, her worry spiking as she looked back to Vergil. Oh she would not be happy if either of them managed to get themselves killed.

“Yes, there is. I found weapons in your room. I want to know what you’re up to.” Lily’s face had turned very stony, her voice low out of habit. “I also want for you not to lie to me. I think you’ve fed me enough, don’t you think?”
her knee jerk reaction was to ask why her mother was in her room in the first place, but she had to try and keep her composure. ‘ i’ve just been practicing self-defense… aunt nat and uncle rhodey have been teaching me fighting techniques. i want to work with shield, mom. ’ the fact that she was so comfortable lying to her mother should shock her, but it didn’t at this point. ‘ and why were you in my room in the first place? ’ she asked, raising a brow. checking her watch, she looked back at her mom. ‘ okay, i’m really going to be late, can i go now? ’ if she didn’t get her target before he got home, she wasn’t sure the family she was protecting would be safe.
“No, Myra, you can’t go. You’re not leaving until you tell me the truth about what’s going on. Do you not trust us with this? We can help you if you let us in. But you can’t go sneaking off doing god knows what. If we have to defend you we can do that, but you can’t lie to us, we’re on your side.” She really was. Even if she was stern right now. Lily found it hard to be a mum, she never really had one and it wasn’t like there was an instruction manual for kids. It was so much easier when Myra was younger, and didn’t argue back with her.

“And yet they couldn’t ease up on the creepy.” She pulled a face, none too pleased about the fact. She kept close to Cameron, shining the torch on his hands so he could see what he was doing. “C’mon, let’s get this stupid generator working.” Meeka thought she heard something else, though she was sure her mind was playing tricks on her. Stupid brain.
“Well any and all complaints about the decor must be taken up with my father, just to warn you he doesn’t always look into these things, he’s a simple man who likes simple things, this” He gestured to the foyer. “Is as simple as its going to get” He started toward a door at the bottom of the stairs and unlocked to reveal a stone staircase that led to the bowels of the mansion. “Be careful I think we have a werewolf down there” Cameron smirked as he entered and dodged Meeka’s half hearted attempt a push.
“Yeah, simple, sure. That’s what this is.” Lies. A giant mansion with the creepiness dial on 11 was simple. Sure. “You first Cam, you can be food for wolfie.” She very lightly nudged him down the stairs. She didn’t particularly like the idea of being dog food, but surely, if she applied some logic to this situation just this once, she thought that she would have heard or seen some evidence of a giant dog. Just maybe.
