A grave, intense expression pulled onto Tenjukai’s face, and for a few seconds, he simply stared over at the shorter woman. His mouth thinned into a tight line, and more silence passed between them. Finally, Tenjukai exhaled, and spoke, his voice abrupt,
“Running is an option; but it doesn’t always work out. Some times, you have to stand and fight. What’re you going to do if that happens? Can you wield a weapon or magic?”
CONCENTRATION is written all over her face as she tries to think of any weapons. well, she doesn’t know any magic ; ah ! she remembers kyo showing her some fighting moves !

WORDS RING TRUE & although this is a very familiar concept , it doesn’t stop the STING. one day, mama was happily leaving to work and then the next day... gone.
a soft expression is on her face as she speaks,

this was both a blessing and a curse ; still, mama said that memories were the real gold that was taken from this earth. && all the memories she had with mama was what made tohru strong ; it gave her the courage to keep moving FORWARD.

She was so incredibly important to most of them —- he knew that Yuki OPENED up more because of her, Kyo learned to care for someone, having an outsider belonging to their family just made them feel MORE normal. Like this curse on their family was non existent.
If only, however, he could give her a hug right then & there – he would do so. However, he wasn’t capable without transforming and it was no time to turn into an Ox in the middle of Sensei’s house. While he didn’t MIND turning into his cursed animal, he didn’t want to be any bother to everyone. ( — while he might even break through the ground. Woops. ) ❝ Your hand is soft. I like holding it. —- ❞ He was just being honest, is all — there was nothing to keep from her, for the most part.
she will forever be thankful for them.
she wonders if they know how much they changed her life. a place to belong; a family to belong to. they offered her the things that caused her so much pain ; their kindness swallowed her pain && they allowed her a place to stay. she knows mama would absolutely love them.
at the mention of her hand being soft, tohru becomes FLUSTERED. blood rushes to her cheeks && her mind flurries with rapid thoughts━━ she stares at the floor,
❝ Ah━━ I’m very happy that I can help ! when mama used to hold my hand, it would make me feel safe ; especially when it was raining very hard and the thunder was loud ! ❞

The way that Tohru’s voice goes soft leaves him with more worry. This must be something that’s important and very serious. This is the first time he has ever seen the girl act this way. She’s still stubborn as ever and Kyo doesn’t have the heart to push her further.
…but Sunday won’t do. It’ll be too late and he won’t be able to listen to her- ever again. He wants to help her with this problem, the last one he’ll ever help her with.
“Look, there’s something I need to tell you tomorrow anyways so tell me then. … or else I won’t go out with you tomorrow.”
That was a flat out lie. Even if she said no the cat would still go with her. He just needed to try and get her to comply. Threatening her wasn’t really his thing (mostly because kagura did it to him and he hated it), but he had no choice.
“Is it a deal?”
she’s ready to disagree with him- what would his reaction be ?
what would kyo-kun say if he knew of her DEAL with the god ? for tohru, having her memory erased was nothing if it meant kyo’s FREEDOM. she would give her life for him.
she doesn’t want him to suffer. sunday, her last day with him, would be the best day to tell him. still, his threat brings a sense of panic.
❝ N-no—! ❞ her panicked voice startles her- but she continues, ❝ ah---okay; it’s a deal. ❞ she looks down in defeat. minutes pass and both have said nothing.
silence is deadly. has she made him upset ? does he have a clue as to what is about to happen ? she wants to say something- but what ? well ---- mama said that when in doubt, honesty is the best way to go.
❝ —I’m really happy to be with you tomorrow ! you make me very happy, kyo-kun ! ❞
