s15 dean would say something viciously cruel to endverse cas and endverse cas would respond in kind without even breaking stride, and maybe throw in a wink, and dean would be like. chewtoy chews BACK?????? and have to sit with that for a while.

endverse cas would experience s15 dean trying to control him in an insane way once and immediately be like. you. c- care???? care about ME????? 😭🥺😭🥺😭🥺😭

body swap episode let’s go!!! it’s a cursed object or some nasty, powerful spellwork. it zaps rowena, dean, and cas who are all in the same room together. rowena becomes dean, cas becomes rowena, dean becomes cas. jack walks into the room and with the ability to see people’s souls, recognizes everyone immediately. poor sam now has to see the woman he has feelings for in the body of his brother and he’s NOT having a good time!! rowena in dean is all loose, confident, flirty, she charms cas in her own body which drives sam and dean INSANE (for totally different reasons obviously.) it would be so fun to see rowena-cas stiff, serious, and genuine. cas realizes the deep attachment he’s grown to his body. dean’s freaking out about the possibility of needing to pee or take a shower. “I’m not gonna look at some other dude’s junk, that’s not cool!” meanwhile cas informs him that he won’t need to, “there’s enough grace left over in my vessel that will eliminate the need for bodily functions” forcing dean to act disappointed “oh, good” (he says lying) while he tries to actively avoid feeling up cas’ pecs.

Rowena: Be careful with that body, Castiel. She’s over 300 years old and one of a kind.

Cas (externally): Of course, it is an honor to look out for you in such a close way (Cas, internally: I am a man? I am a man. I’m a man?)

thinking about dean’s sexuality again. i do think he’s bi, but he definitely feels obligated to act on his attraction to women as an extension of his masculinity, even if he’s also actively pursuing intimacy with men. and i think this obligation builds up resentment over time, to an extent that sex with women no longer feels genuinely enjoyable & is completely tied up to his performance of Who Dean Winchester Is. sex with men would feel less performative to him because he’s breaking his own rules; or at least, the person he’s performing isn’t dean winchester, it’s someone else. and i would have to imagine it feels really good to him to be someone else for a while

some of this really is an inability on his part to conceptualize a female partner as a lifelong best friend who he can have regular sex with. like. the way he conceptualizes “how to be a man in a relationship with a woman” is sooooo unhealthy & charged with gender roles he doesn’t actually enjoy reproducing. he has no preconceived notion of how to be a man in a committed relationship with a man, so he can sidestep all of that stuff and be himself — making his weird, intense bonds with men over the course of the show make sense in a new way
