A hand swirled the glass around idly for a moment as she watched him like a hawk. Good, at least now he was settled in just one stop instead of digging holes in her floors with his nervous lost puppy pacing. It wasn’t half bad to notice the urgency he’d executed that command with; if she wasn’t this distraught with their current situation, she might’ve actually been intrigued to further explore just how servile he could get under the right conditions. But enough about that, she was getting distracted.
“When has it not been complicated…” another idly mumble before she brought the glass to her lips and sipped it with thirst. Yes, it burned, and yes, it made her grimace at the discomfort, but she needed something to bring her back to her senses. Thank Heavens and Hell she wasn’t as susceptible to drugs like this, otherwise she would’ve long ago become an addict.
Still, she listened to his words with interest, one hand firmly planted on her hip while she stepped in a little closer, looming over his sitting figure with authority. By the look on her face it wasn’t enough to fully calm down the woman, the glare in her eyes still seemed to want to pierce right through the elf. “Oh, woe you.” she commented in irony before taking another sip of her drink. “How curious to have someone who kills for a living being chased and hunted for doing exactly that…! Should i understand that this unfortunate soul you were so neglectful of that it died was the first one to set off the streak? Was this how you’ve found your vocation?” harsh words spoken in a low, patronizing tone. It might’ve not been her place to talk like this, especially since it was so bluntly resumed and Yun obviously kept important details to himself, but Adrianna was never to keen to respecting other’s self worth and intimacy. Even if the thing that set her off was as mild and stupid as having uninvited people climb into her bedroom.
The woman sighed deeply and promptly down the rest of her drink. “You’re sloppy. And reckless.” a hand reached down, grabbed a handful of his robes and pulled him up to his full height, inches away from her face. “And this is Egyptian silk, take off these rags if you want to lie on it…!” and just like that, a moment later she released him, turning on her heels to help herself with another glass. Was she aware of the double edged meaning of her words? Maybe, but she still maintained a decent level of anger in her voice and actions, so it was hard to tell.
“How long are you staying here?”

He wasn’t really sure what he had expected. Probably actually trying and explaining what was up turned out to be one of his dumber ideas, but then again, lying to the fierce woman would have been the bigger mistake. “Hey. Most of the times we meet it’s pretty simple.”  - also simply dangerous, bloody and violent, but overall not too complicated. In an totalitarian matter though, she was right.

Maybe irritating for Adrianna, but her slicing words had qite the opposite effect than one might have thought. Instead of brooding or responding with anger, the snarky remark from her side caused the still somewhat shaken dark elf, that was slowly calming – probably to courtesy of the alcohol – let out a dry chuckle. “Of course, I just forgot to mention how I was raised in a loving family until this one, dreadful day…. And probably a puppy died somewhere along the way.” He had even found his sarcasm again, though right now maybe still was kind of the wrong point in time to get snappy wither, as she had all the right in the world to still just drop him right off of her balcony again. Or out the window. For effect.

The thought let him fall silent and clear his throat before adding, a bit more serenely: “But no, that’s not the case. I wasn’t actually born a mercenary, you know? And I guess I killed my first victim with uhm…. 6? Or was it 5?... I can’t even really remember anymore.” This time, even though it sounded even more unbelievable than the story he told before, the elf was dead serious and honestly a bit distraught about the scrambled memories of his. Not thinking that the thought of a child murdering people might be disturbing for some people.

He was just about to protest against her scrutinizing words, no matter how much truth there was in the reckless part, when she was suddenly towering above him, a view both intimidating and deliciously tempting, especially when Adrianna was as agitated as she was now. And her pulling him up to almost her height instantly meant him having to stretch and stand on his toes, the rough handling doing a lot in bringing back his trademark smirk. And with words like that she was only pouring oil into the fire. “Is that an invitation?” whether it was one or now, he did indeed strip off his torn jacket with ease after she had let go of the same and was pouring herself another drink while he finished his. After all, it was kind of a rare occasion that they met and he wasn’t already bleeding.

“….Just until the coast’s clear again…”  that was an awfully vague answer but Yun was still surprised enough she wasn’t kicking him right out again, he was already pressing his luck quite a bit probably. “Thank you.” That last bit. Serious for once and mumbled almost inaudibly, yet still there – a short glimpse behind the casual demeanor he spouted most of the time.

Hello love x3 thank you and don’t worry, I think since Microbiology and Biochemistry are our expertise we are a lot more relaxed about the whole situation^^”  “yes it is important to take it serious, but don’t panik” - going into lockdown now is the best thing you can do to stop a wider spread, and tbh I appreciate the extra learning time and possibility to finally sleep a bit ! XD

Obviously:  I’m not really constantly active, only sporadically - however, looks like I can never really abandon my blogs here because I end up missing my boys too much x,)   just see me as that one pesky weed you just cannot get rid of in your otherwise properly primed garden!

... or that stray cat always walking by whenever you least expect it, because that will be the overall course for my activity and replies ;) AND ..... due to Corona the city is drifting into Lockdown. I work in medical and microbiotic fields, my exams being at the end of April.. until then we’re on forced vacation here, institutes closed until the 19th of april!

Well, that happened yesterday and so I may have some time on my hands now for the next weeks öÖ

More than assholes, was what the old dark elven folk Valryn knew had been, but not that he would share such details with a complete stranger. Maybe one day if the opportunity struck to talk about one’s past experiences. That would be quite the wild run if he someday bothered to tell such details to the stranger or anyone in general.
An amusing reaction, Valryn thought, as he indeed sniffed the male like a wild animal. “Just a habit.” He spoke calmly as his form slowly straightened back up and gave the guy some space. “Don’t mind it, you don’t smell too bad after all.” He’d smelled much worse, was what he meant. Valryn on the other hand, well, one better not go sniffing him, as one would call him a street rat who dressed surprisingly nicely.
Another foot stepped aside, but his hand, on the other hand, circled to attempt and give the shorter guy a pat on the back. “I hope you won’t mind me coming along, cause if you don’t want to tell me, I might as well come and see.” More like, please, give me attention is what went inside the dragon’s head. Knowing him, if he was rejected, he might go as far as follow the guy anyway.
“Oh, yeah, and you can call me Valryn. Not that you asked but…” Well, a forced introduction is one way to go, not that he asked the man to return it, that was all up to him, for now at least.

Yup. That was the confirmation he had asked for but didn’t know whether or not he actually wanted it. That guy did indeed sniff him. For whatever reason. A habit he said. Yun huffed, tilting his head a bit while trying to figure out just what exactly this stranger was. He did not look like anything the dark elf had ever seen before – unlike the other, who seemed to know just exactly what he was. Disadvantages like this tended to frustrate him, but that was nothing one couldn’t change, right?

“What exactly even are you?” the elf asked bluntly, as rhetorical finesse never had been one of his talents either. “Would be just fair to tell me, don’t ya think?” at least in his book, that made a lot of sense. “And thanks, I guess?? As weird as that is.” he had no clue what he did smell like just now – probably not blood, at least not yet.

But when the guy quite suddenly moved aside, Yun also finally and very abruptly remembered what he actually was supposed to do. With a loud curse he pushed forward, fervently looking over the ground. But there of course was now nothing but dirt to be found. “Aaah fucks sake. ‘course it’s gone now! Goddammit.” With a shrug he started to quickly walk forward, eye constantly on the ground “Do whatever. Just don’t get in my way again.” For all he cared, the stranger could get lost, no matter how pretty he was or how curious he made him – this was more important now.

Still, Yun listened, mentally taking note of the name “It’s Yun.” His own introduction turned out rather brief as he grew more frantic, there was nothing to see no matter where he looked. “Damn by now it could be wherever….” His mumbling stopped just as his step, as an idea crossed his mind that let him whirl around on the spot, pointing towards Valryn – who he assumed did indeed just follow him. “You! Is your sniffing just for show or does it actually do some good?” out of nowhere he produces a rather small, white leather leash, dangling it in front of the other’s nose. “Here. Sniff that and tell me where it leads you.”

Such rudeness. The fluffy looking ears on top of his head drooped slightly as he listened to the male. It wasn’t nice for Valryn to block the man’s path either, so guess they were both being meanies, but the guy had caught his interest and now he had fewer reasons to fully leave the man alone. “Yeah, well, it’s been many years since  I last saw your kind…” He admitted.
One foot stepped aside to partly clear the path for the male. “Things might have changed since then and I’m not saying all of you are bad.” He didn’t know the male at all, but their first meeting didn’t give many plus points. He can only give plus points for not getting stabbed or mugged.

“Where are you even going in such a hurry?” The dragon asked with a faked smile on his lips as he leaned forward. His face came dangerously close to the stranger’s face and the silent sound of sniffing would be heard from the blue-eyed one. Very curious as if he had found himself a new body to bother.

Now not instantly trying to push past the other anymore, Yun could also finally fully take in the rather peculiar appearance of the stranger in front of him, own ears perking up subconsciously, as the feather-y appendages on top of his head actually moved. What exactly was that creature? Well, certainly not human, he got that much, but aside from that, the dark elf had not even a good guess.

“Given that I haven’t seen any of ‘my kind’ either since – well, since about a decade –“ he’d almost spoken too soon and said too much, but curiosity was a strong motivator, maybe there were others, next to his tribe, despite what everyone used to tell. “- we’re not exactly common to come by in these lands.”

He lifted an eyebrow, as hard as that was maybe to see when the other was mostly concealed by his eyepatch, was that guy trying to reconcile or something. “Oh I wasn’t offended by that assumption. I’m not exactly sugarcoating that I’m no good person. As for the rest of ‘us’ – plenty o’ them are assholes. The rest? Well probably can’t blame a dog for acting on its conditioning..”  his slight rambling trailed off, as the tall man leaned closer, than any common sense of respecting personal space would have allowed for – Yun knew that border very well, since he crossed it on a regular basis himself.

But this one did give off a strange vibe, he couldn’t really escape the gaze of those blue eyes. Pointed ears now pressing flat against his head out of caution. “I’d say that is none of your damn business.” And he didn’t exactly want to explain, that he was chasing after a literal white rabbit, that would probably have kind of ruined the whole mood… but maybe that was for the better…? Because the other was now close enough to feel his every breath. And then… “…….did you just  sniff me?! The fuck.”

a slightly altered timeline.   send me  ‘ timeline ’  and a number and i will tell you how my muse and their life would have turned out in a life slightly altered compared to their canon one—same universe, but where something little, or something big, went differently.
  1. the timeline in which they live an ideal life, had no opportunities taken from them, were subjected to nothing terrible, where they grew up to fulfil their full potential.
  2. the timeline in which they never met who would become the most influential or important person in their life, or that person was taken from them before they were capable of forming memories.
  3. the timeline in which something important to them happened in a different stage of life.
  4. the timeline in which they knew beforehand of something they would have prevented if given the chance.
  5. the timeline in which they continue on from the current point in their lives to the best happy ending that is within their reach, where nothing that has happened so far is negated but from now on, the happy things start piling up.
  6. the timeline in which everything that could go wrong from this point on… does.
  7. the timeline in which they never experience the loss that taught them something important.
  8. the timeline in which they gain everything they want, except for the thing they wanted the most.
  9. the timeline in which they live the life they currently see the most likely for them.
  10. the timeline in which something big to them never happened.
  11. the timeline in which something very little happened differently, but it changed a lot.
  12. the timeline in which they had a person in their life when they needed one the most.
  13. the timeline in which instead of the most influential person in their life, they had a person who had the complete opposite effect on them.
  14. the timeline in which they took a chance they didn’t in canon.
  15. the timeline in which they let a chance go by.
