Matsukawa Issei headcannons no one asked for

So no one really asked for these but ive been compiling them for a few days now lmao

  • He takes really hot fucking showers??? like Hanamaki was staying over one day, asked him to start a bath for him, and then yelled when he got in because what the fuck mattsun, why is the water so hot??
  • He likes to doodle a lot, like nothing really big but he does have a sketchbook and its filled with cute lil drawings of soft things like dogs and plants. 
  • There is always music playing with him, and whatever music he listens to has a lot to do with his mood. He’s fuckin weird though because its not normal stuff like sad songs if he’s sad, no, he listens to like really shitty old American country when he’s sad, and Lofi-hiphop when he’s calm or happy.
  • He has to pluck his eyebrows at least twice a week
  • Mattsun is actually a very loving partner, in any relationship he is the type to want to go on cute cheesy little dates and when him and his S/o are laying in bed he has such an urge to trace his fingers over their skin? like for hours on end, he’s very touch-assured
  • On that note he’s also very unsure of himself? a lot of “is this okay?” and “what do you think?” Especially in new relationships, he doesn’t want to upset the other.
  • He is a very non-violent person, and absolutely hates to cause harm to other people. For instance- Lets say the team was out for lunch or something and makki said something stupid, so he pinched him. Hard. Makki bruises and mattsun feels like a total ass because of it even though Mattsun its okay I’m not a fragile fuckin flower 
  • Once when he was little he watched makki pick his nose and eat it, then proceeded to throw up
  • He’s actually very anal about hygiene. Like he takes daily showers and has nice shampoo and shit, a whole skincare routine and will headass come in late to morning classes just because he needed a shower.
  • He always has fucking gum and no one knows where it comes from (Oikawa once asked for a piece and mattsun just produced it from his palm and said “I felt like you were gonna ask”)
  • He owns a Caucasian mountain dog that he went to Russia to get, her name is Aiko, which means child of love. Lots of people are terrified of her at first glance, but in all honesty she’s just like mattsun, lazy and lovable 🖤!
  • He actually has a very good relationship with kyoutani. Not many people know about it but the younger respects him almost as much as iwaizumi for some advice given when they first met. Almost.

So, I have more and I’m sorry for not posting but ive been swamped with school and theatre, if you would want me to do more things like this let me know!

swimming pools

makki and mattsun aren’t the crazily adventurous types, but they do like to travel a bit to culture themselves every now and then. amongst numerous travel traditions from mini golf to losing their suitcases, their favourite is probably the swimming pools. when they travel, since neither really like the beach (after that one time when mattsun stepped on a jellyfish), they go from pool to pool, getting their fair share of swimming that way.

but of course the tradition doesn’t just involve swimming, they obviously have to also oggle every single pool boy in all of japan and then jealous-fuck in the changerooms afterwards.
