knowledge is knowing that a tomato is a fruit
wisdom is not putting it in a fruit salad
philosophy is wondering if that means ketchup is a smoothie
common sense is knowing that ketchup isn’t a damn smoothie you nasty

When I thought about the temperature out there – with finding out what Jennifer [Lawrence] and Amy [Adams] were being paid on a set with guy actors who are their counterparts… They’re just as good as any of the guys on there. Yeah, that pissed me off!

Charlize Theron talks about gender pay gap in Hollywood. (via jenniferlawrenceinform)

I think Jen was just joking around when she said she had a prescription. I saw nothing more to it than that.

Nah, I think she was serious about it, even if it came off in a joking matter. Jen having a prescription would be normal and I’d be glad that she had something that could help her. We know she’s been dealing with anxiety and have had anxiety attacks. I don’t see why some (not necessarily you) seem to think there is something bad about being on medication. If you’re suffering from something that is hard to deal with and there is something that can help, that’s a good thing!

You have Type 1 Diabetes, you take insulin. You have a bad headache, you take paracetemol. You have an asthma attack, you use an inhaler. It wouldn’t even cross anyone’s mind that someone might be “joking” about any of these things. Mental illness is just as relevant as physical illness and should always be treated if people require it. Sometimes that might be through counselling and sometimes it is through medication. There is no shame in it and, in my opinion, it shows a sign of real strength to ask for help in order get on anxiety medication because the nature of the illness can often encourage people to keep their feelings to themselves.

The people minimising or appearing shocked by Jen’s comments are only adding to the stigma about mental illness. It is extremely common and it should be talked about so that more people can get support.

Well said girls!

Q: In what ways have you seen Jennifer, Liam and Josh change over the course of filming?
Nina Jacobson : I think the most heartening thing has been to see how close they have become with each other. Often times fame divides people and makes people individuate or be competitive with each other. They never turned that way. They became a family, they became incredibly close, they grew up together. Other people of that age are going to college, and they instead had this experience. Certainly their freedom of movement has been impacted, but they have had a good role model in someone like Woody. Everywhere you go people recognise him, and he’s really gracious about it, and really appreciative. It’s not like you appreciate it when people bother you at dinner, but appreciate that success of that kind is nothing to be taken for granted. They all come from good families, of people who have their head on straight, and are surrounded by good people and not yes people.
Q: Jennifer Lawrence has her production company. Did she pick your brains about it?
Nina Jacobson : Yeah, we definitely talked about it a bit. I’m really proud and excited to see her take that next step. She actually said one of the nicest things to me that anybody ever said, which was that on set that I don’t say that much, but what I do say she always wants to hear. The idea that it’s better to create an environment in which people can do their best work, and to only speak up when you have something meaningful to say, and not just to impose your presence as a producer. To let other people’s voices emerge instead of your own.

Moviegoers are eagerly anticipating Katniss Everdeen’s last act.
“The Hunger Games: Mockingjay — Part 2,” the final film in the popular series, is the most anticipated fall movie, according to a recent survey by Fandango. That distinction comes with a big caveat. The online ticketer polled 1,000 moviegoers on the films they’re most excited to see between September and November, but that excluded a certain blockbuster-to-be because “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” doesn’t hit theaters until December.
The two most recent “Hunger Games” sequels topped Fandango’s list of most anticipated fall releases, making this the third consecutive year it’s topped charts. The first “Hunger Games” was released in March of 2012.
