Blog Update

It seems when this event blog first started there were tons of people that participated. But as the fandom evolved, people came and left, but it seems like it’s considerably smaller than it once was. And while we love being able to bring people together, it’s hard when there isn’t a lot of participants. 

While we hope this changes in the future, this blog for right now is going on a Hiatus. Until we feel like we are able to hosts the events like we did before. 

We would like to thank all those that have been with us from the beginning and those that just came to the party. It was fun getting to know everyone and see what you have created for each other. To be a positive influence and brighten someones day. We wish for everyone to continue spreading around love and joy.

The sign up for the summer event has ended. This event starts July 1st.

You will be receiving a message from me with the name of your person. The message should look like the following:

This is [Admin] from Otome Gifts. The name of your nemo is [insert name here]. This event starts on July 1st. As a reminder your anon should be turned on and communication is important. How do I sign-up? Just send an ask saying “I’d like to participate” and you’re in! I cannot add you to the list if you send something anon, for I won’t know who you are. If you’re otome blog is a side blog just include the name of that blog, you do not have to use personal main blogs for this event. Your otome blogs will do. - Reblogging this post does not count as joining, it only shares the word.

Important Dates - The fall event will run July 1 - 31. - I would like participants to give gifts sometimes between July 25 - 31. - There is a grace period for extenuating circumstances which is August 1 - 7. If there are any doubts or uncertainties, all dates will be on the event calendar.

Additional Information - If you have any further questions, please check out our FAQ. - In addition to FAQ there is information and rules. - Please also check the Participants page after 1-2 days of signing up to see if your URL is listed on the page. Hello, I hope this isn't presumptuous of me but if I may make a small suggestion~ for the next gift exchange, maybe you could tag the announcement with some popular otomes/otome companies? Back when this was just voltagegifts you had the advantage of name association, now I think you could get the word out more, but also I totally understand if you just don't want to spam tags

when is the winter event?

Sign Ups will begin in December, the event will begin in January. 

The way I have the events set up is as follows:

  • Winter: Sign up in December, event in January
  • Spring: Sign up in March, event in April
  • Summer: Sign up June, event in July
  • Fall: Sign up in September, event in October

A month to sign up, a month for an event, and then a month break. 

If you are ever curious about when future events, or you forgot when the dates are you can always check the calendar.

Mystic Messenger X Alice in Wonderland!

My gift for @aliceaurorarose for the fall gift exchange. She really loves Alice in Wonderland (I do, too), so I thought drawing Zen as the White Rabbit picking up Alice/MC after falling down the rabbit hole would be perfect. I wanted to do a full AU, but didn’t have enough time. Sorry I haven’t been very communicative this month, dear, but I hope you’ve had a great October and I wish you a Happy Halloween tomorrow!!
