Nothing annoys me more than when radfems are accused of being ‘pick mes’ for criticising the beauty industry or onlyfans or whatever like that literally makes zero sense. I guarantee that radical feminism will not make you popular with men, taking up feminist ideals is the worst strategy to employ if you want the average man to choose you as his partner.

Is it valid to reject someone for their music taste? How about for not having a college degree? Wouldn't that be classist? And for having a disability? Isn't that ableist?

Your body is not a validation machine and activism is not performed in the bedroom. You can show someone human decency and respect without fucking them. You "owe" sex to noone. The moment someone says it is your duty or obligation to fuck someone, they are advocating for rape. Saying "if you don't fuck X you're a bigot" is a coercive rapist tactic. Your bodily autonomy is not conditional.

Abelism is to discriminate in favor of able bodied people. In no way does that have to do with sex because your genitals are not a public resource and your intimacy is not a shared societal value.

Classism is prejudice in favor of someone of a certain social class. This has nothing to do with sex because your sexuality is not a tool to ease class divides and your bed is not an economic commons.

You owe absolutely noone sex. For any reason. Ever. To attempt to negotiate otherwise is to advocate for rape.

@sporks-and-stars love, I don't know how to break it to you, but I'm a 100% a radfem and this is 100% radical feminism theory you're agreeing with. This is the exact activism people get deeply mad at us about.

Things even ppl who claim to be anti capitalists will tell you to never ever criticize: - makeup industry - porn industry

- transition industry

-surrogacy industry

I wonder what all of these have in common 🧐

tumblr is the weirdest hotbed of misogyny ever

tumblr used to be known as the “cringe crazy liberal feminist” hang out for people who want to smash the patriarchy with a high heel and now you find “why would your first concern be women’s safety during a taliban takeover” sandwiched between a milf girlboss joke and a uquiz that asks you if you’re submissive and breedable

who do yall think is the mayor of radblr

It’s me. Next question

We should do an election

I'll vote for that woman who plans to create a school... Idk her user.

this quote in my textbook says “studies show that a majority of college students identify women with armpit hair as radically feminist, overly aggressive in their gender politics, and possibly man-hating” that’s me

not shaving is literally violence against men lol

And it then follows quite logically that shaving means caring about men more than yourself, being passive and loving men.

when men shave their armpits, I’ll make an attempt to do so

This but unironically

I find it so bizarre that a non-action is enough to get you considered “overly aggressive and possibly man hating”. Not shaving costs exactly $0 and takes literally zero seconds out of your day. Then again, “buy unnecessary products and waste your time on a completely cosmetic thing” is a very expected thing for women, but the fact that people will see it as a political statement rather than just a personal choice is just…something.

us literally just existing in our natural state without altering ourselves is considered subversive and man-hating.. insane bc having body hair is literally how women exist by default, so basically unless were actively participating in our oppression we’re a problem and a threat by default

the Taliban have been hunting down female athletes, they beheaded volleyball player Mahjabeen Hakimi and posted her severed head to social media

most have been unable to flee the country, those left behind have been burning sports equipment to protect themselves and their families

I really love how Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie….is just “This Writer”…..they wouldn’t even name her??? How disrespectful can you be???

It’s controversial for women to have their own specific experiences and say this fact out loud. Lovely….

And yeah, they are diminishing Chiamanda down to some bigot who needs to be put in her place in order to lift a male up.

Some of “this writer” Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie’s achievements:

2002 - shortlisted for the Caine Prize

2003 - joint winner of BBC’s Short Story Awards, winner of the O. Henry Prize

2004 - shortlisted for the Orange Prize for Fiction

2005 - Hodder fellowship at Princeton University, wins Commonwealth Writers’ Prize for Best First Book

2007 - wins Orange Prize for Fiction and Anisfield-Wolf Book Award

2008 - Master of Arts from Yale University, MacArthur fellowship a.k.a the “Genius Grant”

2011 - fellowship at Harvard University

2016 - honorary degree from Johns Hopkins University

I mean I could go on but I don’t have the stamina. Who’s Laverne Cox again?

Laverne cox isn’t even a very good actor lol

+ i know it’s already been said but there’s something inherently hilarious about ‘i called my brother and he agreed i don’t have male privilege so YOU’RE ALL WRONG, WOMEN’ as if we’re all going to just simmer down and be quiet because a man disagrees with us

And then he basically went on to say “we need to stop making gender a binary, for example I was a gender-non conforming boy and got called a girl for it and decided that means I’m a girl.”

I love how Chimamanda Adichie–Harvard Fellow–needs to take lessons in feminism from a male whose IMBD page lists a “makeover show” as a career highlight.

The irony of that isn’t lost on anyone, I’m sure.

Unremarkable actor mostly known for minor role on a Netflix series gives a half-assed response to Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, an accomplished author with two masters degrees who’s a winner of an MacArthur Genius Grant and an Andrew Carnegie Medal for Excellence in Fiction. And if this is too academic for you pop-culture junkies, one of her talks was sampled by Beyoncé.

Someone should probably let Cox know that being shamed for being feminine is an integral part of male socialisation. Among other things it teaches you that you shouldn’t debase yourself by acting like a girl (”I was told I acted like a girl and I was shamed for that,” he said) because you are inherently worth more than the lowly females around you. By saying he was bullied for being feminine he is essentially proving Adichie’s point - that male socialisation exists and trans males and women do not have the same experiences. And regardless of the specifics, receiving male socialisation is always a privilege and you reap the benefits of it for the rest of your life. For example, being shamed for acting like a girl i.e. being taught from birth that you are inherently worth more than the lowly females around you, gives you a high enough opinion of yourself to speak over a female scholar and think your definition of womanhood automatically trumps hers.

gnc males are *shamed and harassed for being feminine*, people try to force them to be masculine/ gender conforming. Females are *forced to be feminine*. …..these are clearly not the same thing jfc

Who ever let that man convince himself he’s the pinnacle of feminist thought? He’s the final word on feminism? Who ever let him decide he gets to speak over Chimamanda Adichie -who’s not only an actual woman, but an extremely successful feminist writer and intellectual? He’s literally just an actor. And a whole male at that
