Pegasus Tenma

天 馬 (tenba) is the Japanese term for a heavenly horse, though “Pegasus” is preferred nowadays. Kurumada decided to force the variant “ma” (instead of “ba”) to avoid a complete redudancy in the character’s name (though it is still there, lol).

Since Next Dimension and Lost Canvas are parallel universes of the same event (18th Century Holy War vs Hades) LC!Tenma’s name is meant to have the same meaning. However, to avoid having to clarify which is which every time, his is written in katakana (テンマ、primarly phonetical) instead of kanji.

Lithospermum erythrorhizon (murasaki) has been cultivated in Japan since the Nara period for its root, which can be used for herbal medicine and to make dyes. It produces such rich purple shades, that it became a synonym of that colour in modern Japan.

I would be totally fine if they had changed Saga or Ikki to female characters. 

ANYONE could be BUT the effeminate ones.

Just waiting to see if they will change Afrodite or Misty to female characters as well.

It would prove my theory they can’t handle a delicate man.

Saint Seiya Remake Update

According to CavZod, the Saint Seiya Remake that’s being produced by Netflix had its trailer showcased at CCXP this afternoon in São Paulo and:

- Apparently it draws inspiration from Legend of Sanctuary, with the saint’s cloths being stored in magical pendants

- It’s a children-oriented show, for a younger audience

- Andromeda Shun is now a female character

- Cassius is a Black Saint now

- The main bronze saints, Shunrei, Roshi and Pope Arles were shown at the trailer

May this be a lesson to myself, never to trust Toei completly, only trust Kurumada, only Kurumada. (Please tell me that there is still hope about Saintia Sho)

Children oriented show? If I ever have children I will not be showing them that crap, Legend Of Sanctuary sucked big time.

I can’t believe you Netflix, I was willing to trust you, now I won’t even bother to sign up for a suscription.
