Okay so Joseph-Beth has this bistro and so in honor of Kiera Cass coming in they made a drink called “The Maxon” and 1. This makes me laugh for some reason, 2. It’s called The Maxon, 3. If people ask what you’re drinking, you get to say “The Maxon,” 4. I’m low key upset it’s not just regular chocolate, and 5. Everything about the description is perfect.

YUMMM!

Okay, since I’m aged, I will low key (high key) be making this with kahlua, which is a sweet liquor perfect for mixing with chocolate/ice cream/that kind of thing, for my next party (super bowl prbly). I will call it the Maxon and no one will know why 😍

Also, I’ll make tiny ones called ‘Maxon shots’, and then cry by myself, and everyone will be like, Are you okay? And i’ll be like NO. I WILL NEVER BE OKAY ABOUT THAT.

Thanks Quinn! :) agh this is harder than I thought, I love so much about this series! 1. “Break my heart, break it a thousand times if you like, it was only ever yours to break anyway.” That whole moment made me bawl even more than I was already and just agh. 2. I just love how The Elite were really close, I love it in books and shows where there’s a sort of close friendship and squad, and knowing that this series helped me find some of my own friendships and squads is also a plus. The whole camera scene was really cute where they had their photoshoot and Amberly even joined! 3. I honestly am just going to say the fact that the main characters are such role models and amazing people. Maxon Schreave is just the most gentlemanly guy I have ever seen in one books, he’s super genuine, adorable, but strong, and America Singer is definitely willing to fight for what she wants. Well, my three things are: 1- when Marlee is going to help Carter in The Favorite, and he says that he didn’t imagine that the first time she would se him naked would be like that. I love this scene cause it shows that even when he is literally on the ground, he still can say something to make her laugh, or blush. 2- in The Queen, the way that Amberly holds Clarkson after they’ve seen the fight between Porter and Abby. 1 HENRI JAAKOPPI’S EXISTENCE - Like, who wouldn’t? Well, first off, when I finished The Heir, I already know that Kile is an obvious winner, but, Henri has something -that I don’t know of- that I want to fight for. I already know that I’m losing a war with this fight, but, I want him to win. I could see some sort of beauty in him, something undefined, and I want Eadlyn (and the other fandoms) to see it. Yeah. He might be a stupid Swendish baker, he might have the language barrier, but, still, he’s the Henri that won my heart.

2 CARLEE/MARTER - I don’t need to explain how wonderful the three flashbacks are. The Favorite was like a contemporary novel that anyone could love. I don’t know why, but I think Carter is sweeter that my dear Henri, but of course that wouldn’t be true, but still. This story made me swoon, and I adore Kiera because of that.

3 THE WORLD - Have you ever constructed a world such as this? When I would make a story, I would just use popular countries and capitals of the world, but Kiera made a beautiful North-American country (I was actually looking for Hawaii, and I think they forgot about it.). She had made a dystopian world with a lot of world wars, and with thirty-five countries, and with a great opportunity of a competition, and I love what she did to it. (Note to Kiera: HOW COULD YOU MAKE THE PROVINCE SOTA SO SMALL?!)

I am an introvert in tumblr, and it is my great pleasure to be a part of such a thing. These people I may not know, but I know what they post, reblog, and like. You all made me laugh and fanboy about this series, and I deeply thank you for that: @henrijaakoppiisbae (same feelings for the same man)/ @prince-consort-erik (the snowball fight fanfic was beautiful, if you must know)/ @eadlynschreaveofillea (the first reason to why my tumblr news feed came to me like a waterfall. Okay, so this is super hard, but I’ll try:

1. When America decides that she’s not choosing either of the boys, but only herself. It’s a very powerful and moving moment, and I think it’s absolutely wonderful that she can stand up for herself in that way.

2. When Aspen and Lucy are found out about. I find this scene in the hospital after the rebel attack to be so pure and moving. I love America’s reaction more than anything, and the fact that Aspen does indeed get his happily ever after despite not being endgame makes the entire series so worthwhile.

3. When Ahren leaves. Yes, I know it’s a heart-breaking moment for all the characters, but that’s what makes it so important. Seeing each person react differently makes it so heart-wrenching, especially when we hear about America.

1. Ok obviously I love Maxon. I mean, he absolutely infuriates me sometimes because he’s so oblivious when it comes to girls but he is so romantic and sweet and wonderful and amazing and I love him.

2. I love Eadlyn’s personality. I really connect with her and think I’m a lot like her. I mean, she doesn’t have a lot of friends and has trouble connecting with other people, but she still tries to power through that and make the most of what she has.

3. I love how the books took something somewhat cheesy and made it not so cheesy. Honestly, when I first heard the plot of the story: “a bunch of girls going to the palace to fight for the prince’s hand in marriage” or whatever I was like, great, it’s just The Bachelor. That’s kind of lame. But the story and the series is so much more than just that. You get to see the relationships between families, and people, and there’s all the politics involved with it all. It’s really one of my favorite book series.

Kierra Cass just never makes anything predictable and I'm happy to say I am always surprised. 2. The perfect people. I should probably hate this because I have such high expectations now but honestly just the though that someone could be as perfect and Maxon or Kile just makes me smile. 1. Finally I love the fact that it makes princesses look cool! Princesses are no longer fairytale a they are non-fiction, young adult romances. A princess is a real thing, a real monarchy, and withy The Selection we see, not a fairy tale, but the real struggles and the tough choices they have to make.

America Schreave is dead. 

But no one can speak this loudly. Not one person dares to do it.

Maxon Schreave can’t stop crying. His eyes are red and his hair is messy. But he doesn’t care. How can a world without America be the same world that he could be happy in? 

Marlee refuses to believe it until she sees her best friend in a glass coffin. Even then she doesnt believe it. That cant be true. America was the bravest, the most fighting and confident person she knew. Her blue eyes are now shut and everything is gone. Marlee’s heart starts pounding very fast. Then its like it isnt beating at all. It seems like her heart tries too beat for America’s too. And then it tries to rest with her. Marlee wants to lie down next to her. But Marlee looks at Maxon and doesnt understand how will he able to take it all.

As soon as Aspen saw the corpse, the world fell. Corpse. Corpse of America. No. It was to hard to take. Even to think it. He didnt know what he could do stop it. Stop all the pain. It was too much…too much to take. America. His America wasnt going to be there. Wasnt going to tell him that everything will be ok. It will not. Nothing will be okay. Because America is gone. Forever.

Her children are standing around the glass coffin.

Osten stood right beside his father. His shoulders were flinching from the cry. He was sobbing. It was not loud, but everyone who gathered heard it. And it broke their hearts even more. Osten’s face was red from tears and his ginger hair was sweaty. He didnt have anymore handkerchiefs.

Kaden wasnt crying. He couldnt. It was a sadness that could not be expressed through tears. It was a sadness right from the centre of his heart. His mother was gone. How was this possible? It was his mother. He wanted to cry. But instead he looked at his mother. Her face was white. And the ginger har framed her beautiful face. It was so hard to look at it. But Kaden couldnt look away. 

Eadlyn Schreave. She tried to hold back tears. Tried to think. But just looking at her mother’s face was so painful that she could not think anymore. She grabbed Kaden’s hand and pressed it tightly. They shared a look of deep sadness. And though her brother hadnt shed a tear, Eadlyn knew that he is in as much pain.

Ahren and Camille were there also. My fault. My fault. Its my fault. He kept repeating those words. As if that would change anything. Camille was crying further from him. She wanted to let him be more near his family. But it wasnt like the familly appreciated him. He blamed himself, so how could they not? Eadlyn just gave him a killing stare. He understood that she was hurt.

Kile Woodwork knew America Schreave, the Queen, as the kindest,the most beautiful and caring person. And that kind of people shouldnt abandon their lives. They should live. The Queen was always good to him.

Illea was hurt to see its Queen go.

But America Singer was gone. 

Forever.
