OFFICIAL COOKIE POST
This is not a drill.
Guys. GUYS. Entranced is in three weeks.
THIS IS YOUR OFFICIAL COOKIE COUNTDOWN.
For the next two weeks I will be taking orders for tasty baked goods, and I promise you won’t want to miss out on this!
Sure, the hotel has a decent breakfast for sale, but if you’re anything like me, you’re going to be up til the wee hours and won’t want to rustle yourself out of bed in time for a restaurant breakfast before classes begin. I can help you with that.
Banana Bread! Great plain or buttered, or slathered with honey, cool or heated up, banana bread is awesome, and HEALTHY. It has bananas in it, that’s healthy, right?
Chocolate Banana Bread! Something like a cake, a brownie, and a bread all mixed together, but completely its own thing. And again, healthy. I read on the internet that eating chocolate is good for your heart, so it must be true.
But maybe you want something you can snack on in the long hours between meals? Or to keep in your pocket to nibble on during classes? (Just kidding, don’t do that, it’s against the rules.)
That’s why cookies were invented in the first place, so you could have a transportable sweet treat at hand whenever you need one. (Dibs on making con ribbons that say “transportable sweet treat” on them.)
Chocolate Chip. Traditional favorite made from my own secret recipe. Equally great with tea, milk, or cocktails.
Earl Grey Chocolate Chip. A cookie so good that someone once spontaneously dropped into trance from the shock of tasting one.
Gingerbread Butterscotch. My favorite cookie. Very gingery. Like, not for the faint-of-heart gingery.
Brownies. Because people do love them so. Available in classic and spicy.
I don’t like nuts in baked goods. I had a bad experience with a piece of carrot cake as a small child (nuts AND coconut, it doesn’t bear thinking about) so none of my baked goods have nuts in them. I prefer my textures to be cakey rather than gooey, and soft rather than crispy. I have yet to perfect a gluten-free recipe that I am happy with, and I really, really like butter, so my baked goods are chock full of both.
Right now I am only doing pre-paid orders. The order period is today (Monday, June 18th) through Monday, July 9th. Contact me by direct message and I will send you an order form. Payment will be accepted through paypal unless other arrangements are made, and any orders that aren’t paid for in some fashion by the 9th will not be fulfilled.
I am selling by the loaf or by the dozen (cookie dozens may be mixes of varieties) at $10 per loaf or dozen, with discounts for people who buy 3 or more. At this time, I have no plans to have extra stock on-site.
There may be a free gift with each purchase.
So, as some of you know, there are a LOT of people with birthdays in July right before, during, or after Entranced. So there could also be cake. (Cake is important.) Cake varieties available are: Carrot, Chocolate, and Lemon. They are six inch rounds with frosting, and can be personalized with a message of your choice on top (size permitting.) Cakes are $15 each ($20 if you want me to sing “Happy Birthday” while delivering it.)
(Why, yes, I do think I’m funny, why do you ask?)
Happy Countdown, everyone!
