The bad kids are insane this episode. It's crit city. It's tactical genius. They are blowing through the kinds of monsters that make most dnd parties shit themselves. They've come SO FAR from the scared kids who died to cream corn and I am LIVING for the sheer competency on display here. No one is doing it like the bad kids are doing it.

#this was one of those fights for the bad kids that like. idk really demonstrates that they do Adventures and Save the World like#all of the fights (iirc) theyve fought where shit goes south they have like 2 or 3 factions or rituals or something else to contend with#or the party is split i.e. fabians no good very bad day in leviathan#like when we see them on adventures they arent just fighting monsters theyre actively solving mysteries too and stopping rituals andandand#but this exam? this exam is go ape shit full stop no mystery (until kippercunts apperance) no ritual just fight#and yeah the dice were definitely on their side with this but also it just makes sense??#they kick ass in chaotic uncontrollable dimension breaking settings. put them in a standardized controlled fight? of course they kill it#and gorgugs nat20s was just like. chef kiss. ofc hes destroying it rn he just created an entirely new style of fighting!!#i will say when the purple worm came out i was like 'oh ok they will in fact all die'#also pretty sure monsters that big cant be knocked prone? but fuck it gorgug said sit down

Y'all have no idea how absurdly strange naked mole rats are as creatures They're cold-blooded mammals that live in a eusocial structure with a queen and drones, similar to ants, bees, termites and no other mammal on the planet. They barely need to breathe, with a respiration rate low enough to let them thrive in burrows with 2% oxygen, and survive with 0 oxygen whatsoever for about 20 minutes with zero lasting effects.

They live for over 30 years, which is absurdly long for a rodent, don't grow frail with age, and are basically immune to cancer because their telomeres just never shorten.

Naked Mole Rats are rodents that attempted to evolve into bugs, failed, and unlocked the secret to immortality in the process.

The Lemkin Institute is horrified by the dire situation transpiring in the West Bank. During what has already been a devastating six months of conflict in Gaza, the Israeli military and far-right settlers have used the cover of war to conduct continuous attacks on Palestinians in the West Bank, often leading to death and forced displacement. These attacks have been underreported in the mainstream Western press, which has also failed to tie Israel Defense Force (IDF) and settler violence in the West Bank and East Jerusalem to the genocide being committed in Gaza. These processes are all part of an overwhelming push on the part of Israeli authorities to oust Palestinians from their remaining ancestral lands. In other words, Israel is committing genocide against Palestinians across Palestine.

guillermo del toro’s pinocchio is a beautiful film but my god no one has adapted that story like neverafter. you can never look at it the same way again after listening to lou wilson, a black man, explaining that he chose to play as pinocchio because it’s a story about a little boy who isn’t allowed to make mistakes. that in pinocchio's story, he is fundamentally barred from childhood at once upon a time. he must earn something that everyone else is granted from birth. the other boys get to tell lies and play and get into trouble, but when pinocchio does the same thing there are grave and violent consequences. his pinocchio is trying to understand why the world is so unfair, why the rules are so different for him, why everyone else gets to be a real boy.

and I think about it every day.
