Looks like she completed genetic mapping of HIV and was the first to clone it (rather than discovering it), and tragically passed away in 2020.

Women have so many incredible contributions to humanity, it’s truly remarkable how we have managed to endure when there are places even today where women are kept illiterate.

Just imagine what we could’ve done had we been allowed the human rights we deserve since the beginning of human civilization.

What makes me even sadder is that by robbing little girls of the knowledge of women’s contributions, schools are taking from them the chance to feel more empowered and proud.
