I haven't been on here in a long time but i would like to remind everyone on here that janai and amaya are both canon lesbians and if you ship either of them with a man that's extremely lesbophobic and offensive so don't do it

I would like to clarify that if you didn't know amaya was confirmed to be a lesbian then you wouldn't be lesbophobic for shipping it because you didn't know, however you should stop shipping it after you find out she's a lesbian because then you would be intentionally erasing her identity for the ship.

that doesn't mean they can't be in a relationship, though! they could be in a qpp or just be really close friends! You can have them be in a really close relationship as long as it doesn't erase amaya's lesbian identity

They were having dinner in Amaya's place. She had invited Janai over for the night, a Friday night no less, and while Janai initially suggested they could go out for supper, Amaya had insisted she had already prepared some.

The soft light of the kitchen brightened Janai's eyes as she scooped the remains of her meal. "Did I tell you about that time I took my brother to a rock concert?"

The night is young, last reaching tendrils of burgundy and purple-slick sunlight staining the navy sky of Lux Aurea when Amaya appears at her elbow. Her wife has been mysteriously absent since the beginning of the gathering and Janai regards her curiously as she sips at the glass in her hand before setting it down to sign. ‘You’ve been slippery. Anything you’d like to share?’

‘No, nothing much.’

listen i obviously can’t put words in devon’s mouth, especially as she’s the one who gave us the information, but i’m so sick of creators saying their fans “you can ship what you want”. i’m not expecting her to voice her full opinion because she’s already limited there, i’m not blaming her for her words, but that line in that statement is so easy to pass. alex hirsch said it to the gravity falls fandom, whose one of the biggest ships is pedophilic. again, no one can tell anyone what to do- it doesn’t matter, anyway- but is it so hard to request, as a person (not as a creator), for other people (not as fans) to respect amaya’s identity? is it so hard for fans to leave their ships for a moment, gain some rationality and common sense and go like “okay, she’s a lesbian, i will respect her identity and the identity of her fans and not ship her with a man just for spite”

it fucking sucks

POV: It’s 2004, the school day is almost over, and it’s raining. You’re daydreaming and staring out the window during Debate Class while a prep and a stoner have a spirited argument at the front.

I literally zoned out

That’s the vibe we’re going for baby!

Shout out to the bad bitches who powered through the zone-out-inducing white noise and listened to the insane conversation going on in the background

I zoned out but then I vaguely heard “There’s no communists in Antarctica” and my brain immediately logged the FUCK back on
