So, It’s been a while. I missed this place! And I missed you all!
I know I’ve been gone for almost half a year now, but I’ve really taken the time to think just everything that’s been going on. What happened, happened, and I truly think I’m in the right mindset to finally focus on posting and also thinking about school.
I’m in 11th grade now, and if you know American high schools, it’s said to be one of the most stressful years in a student’s high school career. Whether they’re taking more AP classes, doing dual enrollment at a college part-time, juggling a job, in addition to preparing to take the SAT and/or ACT. I am doing all of the above, plus I’m also an officer of a club at my school. So school is significantly more hectic for me this year than last year. I don’t want that to affect me coming back to Simblr and/or me having leisure time to enjoy myself. I’m here today because I personally think I can handle school, Simblr, AND extra leisure time. I’m not the best when it comes to studying, but I’ll try my best.
Ok, enough about me talking about my school life. Like I mentioned before, I’ve really taken this past 5 or so months to really try to better my mental state and focus on myself for once. February 14, 2018, was not only a traumatic experience for me but for my entire community. All schools in my county have totally maxed out the security by adding more gates, and for some schools metal detectors. I mean don’t get me wrong, nothing’s wrong with a little more security but its come to the point where school feels more like a prison now than it did before :/
Me, along with my close friends irl have been bettering ourselves as students and also educating ourselves more about the world today and advocating for a better society and mental health awareness.
That’s all I will say for now but if you read this all the way to the end I truly thank you. I hope you guys are still around, and I hope you all will stick around for new content. I expect a post tomorrow.
