I found it rather interesting that the term Alex uses for Wilford sometimes, ‘Dubs’, has several rather telling definitions in slang.

A Dub can mean to deny or reject something.

It can also mean a clumsy person.

To blow off or ignore.

Something that is insignificant to you or you consider a joke.

Someone who shows no interest in giving their time to you or recognition of your presence.
