Royal children masterpost (2018 edition)

The first royal children to make appear publicly on 2018 were Princess Leonor and Infanta Sofia of Spain on the picture published for King Juan Carlos 80th birthday on January 5. They were followed by Princess Josephine and Prince Vincent 6th birthday photos on January 8. The last royal child that we saw this year was Princess Adrienne on the picture published on her mother’s instagram.

This has been a really busy year for the royal children with a total of 304 public appearances (including photos released, private outings were they were spotted and official events). On 2017 there was a total of 247 and on 2016 a total of 241.

The spanish royal sisters more than doubled their public appearances compared to previous years, attending more official events and even private ones. They went from being the ones we saw the less every year to being one of the most actives (excluding the Swedish and Danish kids, no one can overpass them hahah). Here’s a post about the spanish girls year. The ones we saw the less this year were the dutch sisters. We actually haven’t seen them since July (except for princess Beatrix christmas card) and we probably wont see them until the end of February. That is more than 7 months without seeing them, which seems a bit excessive. Next year at least one royal children will join the bunch, which is Meghan and Harry’s baby.

Here’s a guide to all the royal children. To see all the public apperances of a particular royal, just click on their names (the number beside their names shows how many times we’ve seen them in the last 3 years). To see all the children from a particular royal family, click on the royal family you want to see.

By clicking on their names you will see all their public appearances from 2016 up to date, not only the ones from 2018.

Princess Leonor will attend an official event on October 31, where she will participate in the reading of the spanish constitution alongside her father, King Felipe, the president and other members of the goverment.

On October 31, she turns 13, but is also the 40th anniversary of the constitution. The event will be attended by King Felipe, Queen Letizia, Princess Leonor and Infanta Sofia. It will take place at the ‘Instituto Cervantes’ where King Felipe will begin to read the Constitution, and Princess Leonor will follow him. Then the president, Pedro Sanchez, will continue reading. It is the first time the Princess will read in public, and also the first time she attends an official event on the day of her birthday. This year the Palace has surprised everyone with the amount of events Princess Leonor and Infanta Sofia have attended. More details are yet to be revealed.  (via spanish-royals)

Princess Leonor and Infanta Sofia visited their maternal grandfather’s house on January 6 to celebrate Dia de Reyes (Three Wise Men Day). Every year Queen Letizia’s family reunites there to eat the ‘Roscon de Reyes’ which is a cake with a little toy somewhere inside. The person who finds the little toy in their piece has to pay for the cake. Also, Leonor and Sofia get to see their two maternal cousins, Carla & Amanda.

It seems that this year Princess Leonor had for the first time since she was a toddler a curled hairstyle. You can appreciate it better in these photos, I would love to see her in a public event with this hairstyle! In the photos from when they were leaving the curls had fallen a died a bit
