OKAY EVERYONE, as promised a couple days ago, I finally updated and fixed the fic rec permalink masterpost. It has gone from 3 to 5 pages, so hopefully I won’t have to do this again anytime soon. Some stuff got shuffled around, so check out below for the new locations of the sections:

I know it doesn’t look like a lot condensed like this, but there are at LEAST 50 lists per page, so… huh, wow I didn’t even think of how many I have done over the years, LOL. Hopefully I’ve re-arranged some lists to more logical places, but yeah, if you don’t find a list where you think it should be, look under either “characters” or “miscellaneous”.

Sorry again for the delay in fixing this… not even sure if it’s used all that much, but I hope it’s helpful anyway.

And a reminder, if there’s a list you want to see, I also have a HUGE list of lists I currently have saved in my offline folder, and I haven’t been asked for many of them since I posted it, so if you want a guaranteed list within a month or two, choose from that list above :) And as always, don’t hesitate to ask for a list and I’ll see what I can do. 

One day I’ll finally post up the community recs posts and masterlists… it’s just that this one is such a HUGE thing to manage that the idea overwhelms me.

This was one of those films that played on literal repeat for me and my family friends as a kid — though my parents always skipped the R.O.U.S scene bc they thought it was too scary 💀 I turned out to be a huge weenie, so maybe they were right lmao

It’s been on my mind a lot recently, since I finished reading As You Wish by Cary Elwes, the guy who played Wesley! Highly recommend it if you are interested in hearing about the making-of this iconic movie 👀👌✨

Christmas Fics!

When John's leave request for Christmas is denied, Sherlock is nothing short of devastated, not that he's letting it show. The holiday season now something he's just waiting to end, Sherlock doesn't think anything can possibly make it worse. That is, until he realizes no one in his life believes his army "boyfriend" is even real, but, luckily, everyone is in for a surprise.

Taking Sherlock's platonic university flatmate home with him for Christmas can be a tricky business. Especially when he wishes their relationship wasn't platonic at all.

It's the holiday season. John Watson needs money. Sherlock Holmes needs something else.

Sherlock needs John to pretend to be his boyfriend for Christmas. John has always preferred to be wanted rather than needed, but there's some disagreement between them on the actual difference.

Sherlock and John are quite happy living together with Rosie in Baker St. They might be even happier if they didn’t act towards each other like their love is only platonic. Mycroft brings troubling news in the form of Mary’s parents wanting to know just what their grandchild’s home life is like. The boys decide to spend Christmas pretending like they are in love in order to seem more like a "normal" family. It's easy enough to pretend when all you're doing is dropping the act.

The night before they travel to Dorset to spend Christmas with Sherlock's parents and John's wife, 221 Baker Street is peaceful with the smell of baking, flickering candles and presents under the tree. But Father Christmas can't be relied upon to bring the boys their heart's desires. Just as well Mrs Hudson - who is NOT a fairy godmother OR their housekeeper, thank you very much - is so good at her job.

Greg should have known better than to say the phrase ‘I’ll owe you one,’ to Sherlock Holmes. This was his own fault, really. After four years, he really ought to have learned by now. But Greg had been tired and desperate and Sherlock had been acting like a stroppy child. The words had slipped out and then Greg had immediately forgotten them. 

In which Greg agrees to pose as Sherlock's boyfriend at Christmas, finally meets the invisible Mycroft Holmes, catches feelings, and has a very happy holiday indeed.

NICK AND CHARLIE | HEARTSTOPPER 1.02

i will never move on from this hug. the way that nick truly is, so obviously, recharging here, while also try to pour all of his love for charlie into this hug, and also give him reassurance after overhearing the conversation in the bathroom. it just makes me want to cry

his little scrunched up face bc he’s snuggled so deeply into charlie’s shoulder, and the way he’s holding onto him so tightly, like if he loosens his grip charlie will disappear

and making sure to hold onto him for long enough to make charlie feel all of the emotions and stuff

he also adjusts a couple of times to snuggle in even further, which is just the cutest thing istg

it’s just such a beautiful hug. i just ahhh

Tara and Darcy won the sapphic ship-themed patreon fanart poll last month, and since the flu delayed the final art, I figured I’d continue the grand tradition of drawing winter season Heartstopper art and give them the festive treatment! (Because it’d be just like Darcy to find creative ways to warm up Tara’s lips before the winter band concert. LOL)
