HIS  WORDS  MEANT  A  GREAT  DEAL  TO  HER  ,  Aayla  had  always  known  she  was  but  another  Jedi  in  the  masses  that  the  temple  housed  .  And  although  she  was  already  knighted  and  granted  the  rank  of  master  ,  despite  her  young  age  ,  deep  down  she  knew  she  was  never  going  to  be  as  good  as  Skywalker  ,  Kenobi  ,  Windu  ,  Ti  ,  nor  master  Yoda  .  Aayla  had  grown  up  beside  Anakin  ,  she’d  befriended  him  on  the  first  day  he  arrived  ,  and  she  had  been  doomed  to  stay  in  his  shadow  for  eternity  .  But  Bly’s  recognition  -  it  was  somewhat  all  she  needed  ,  without  even  knowing  it  .  A  grateful  smile  decorated  her  pink  lips  and  the  general  took  a  step  forward  as  well  -  the  two  of  the  closed  in  on  each  other  .  Aayla  raised  a  hand  to  rest  it  atop  of  his  shoulder  plate  before  she  spoke  ,  words  carefully  chosen  .      ❛     The  Republic  needs  commander  Bly  as  well  .  Because  without  him  ,  his  general  would  not  be  standing  here  right  now  .  .  .     ❜

EVEN HE WILL ADMIT THE DANGERS OF THIS ABRUPT PROXIMITY.      it seems like every day, bly is swatting at sentiment, discouraging his own indisputable fondness for his jedi general, but it just feels implausible. two highly trained people,    WARRIORS,    side by side for so long, so FIERCELY reliant on the other, dependent, only miserably aware of the addiction when pried apart. how is bly meant to abide by codes, rules, and regulations when she stands so damn close all the time ? when she does    THIS                                   puts a hand on his shoulder, BLINKS UP AT HIM and                                                        ( her scent, the pull of that faint smile on her lips, the shape of her eyes, the accessibility he has to touch her                                 ) ❛ it’s always a great honor to keep you in the fight,    GENERAL. ❜    every damn thing he’s considered in the past few seconds winds up bleeding in his eyes. his head is tilting forwards. ❛ you will A L W A Y S be safe with me. ❜

ANAKIN HAS A PENCHANT FOR DANGER    and an infamous reckless streak. he is emboldened by success, and his confidence has reached new heights under the pressure of war. this environment of sudden death and impending doom —— general certainties hinging on one false move, bad call, or mere turn of fate —— suits him in the worst of ways. his impulsiveness serves its purpose —— THE GALAXY GETS ITS DYNAMIC HERO    who jumps without looking twice. despite it all and to the disbelief of some, the war has made him more serious, even pragmatic. he is training a padawan and leading men who TRUST HIM with their lives.
the weight gets to him. leaps of faith are harder when he is carrying them all.

INSTEAD OF REX,    who suffered injuries on his last mission, clone marshal commander    CODY    takes his fillable place and replaces white and orange armor for a zygerrian slaver outfit, helmet and everything. uncomfortable, scratchy, and stuffy, his head is full of inward complaints                                    he’d never vocalize them to the three jedi he accompanies. better to don this getup than his unwelcomed clone armor. the mission won’t take long, he’s told.    HE’S ANXIOUS TO GET STARTED.

it doesn’t take long for skywalker and tano to gain a request to visit the queen, a small ambush in an intersection of the market, leaving cody and his general,    OBI-WAN,    to search for the people of kiros within the city. to be honest                   CODY ISN’T SAD to see the group separate; it’s rare that they get time alone on a mission like this. ❛ i suppose we start looking, general ? ❜ he asks softly, walking alongside the jedi. then                   their tiny, secret manner of affirmation. ❛ i’m right behind you. ❜

✶ as of right now, seeing as i’ve only been here a few days, my three main ships are as follows:

bly / aayla secura cody / obi-wan rex / ahsoka

i think bly / aayla will be my one and only ship for bly, as i really can’t see him developing feelings for anyone other than aayla, since they’re so close. cody and rex, however, are significantly more flexible, i think, and although as of right now, i have ‘main’ ships for them, anyone interested can totally toss me a message.

✶ pardon me while i cry into my hands THIS MESSAGE IS SO SWEET. are we talking about my icons ? or my theme maybe ? the trick is inspiration, trial and error, and bountiful patience, friend. as an example, psd-wise, this is my second set of icons because my first set ( i felt ) was subpar in quality, seen here,

there was no unity between the different colorings of scenes, and i despised the lack of harmony between all of the sets i made. but with my new set of arranged psds,

we’ve got ourselves a united front, and with that, pretty icons. i’ve always felt that a proper roleplay aesthetic comes in the form of uniformity                 that is, using the same psd + colorings you do for your theme as you do for your icons, your graphics, and your header image. if you have any specific questions, you’re more than welcome to drop me a line!
