Chapters: 2/4 Fandom: Gossip Girl (TV 2007) Relationships: Dan Humphrey/Blair Waldorf Characters: Dan Humphrey, Blair Waldorf, Nate Archibald, Serena van der Woodsen, Jenny Humphrey Notes: In this chapter we have Nate being a good buddy, emotionally fraught conversations, and two dumbs who are definitely dating again but then there’s some slight regression. It happens!

Also. Yes. It HAS been 9-months since I updated. What about it? 

Summary: 

There are times when he wonders if it would be so awful to let himself love her again. Like when she asks him to meet for coffee, and their hands brush as they walk through Riverside Park, and his skin itches with need to tuck the strand of hair behind her ear. Or, when they walk the galleries at MoMA, and it takes everything in him to not press his lips to hers when she lets out a soft little oh of delight when something captures her. Or, when together with Nate and Serena they somehow end up at Veselka at 1:00 A.M., overstuff themselves with pierogies, and get drunk on cheap white wine, and he wonders if the skin of her wrist is as soft as he remembers. 
So the emotional distance thing is a work in progress.

Veronica and Wallace are roommates in Chicago and heading back to Neptune for the holidays. On her first day back she encounters an old friend and she knows he's keeping a few secrets from her. That's cool because she will figure out what he's hiding. The bigger issue, though, is the mystery she's brought back with her to Neptune to try and solve. Now that will take some fine maneuvering.

Dan leaves. Blair gets everything she thought she wanted. And they don't ever think about one another.

Mid-s2e1 AU: Not only does the young lady Anthony raced in the park wholly misunderstand both his words and his character, she refuses to listen to his (perfectly rational) explanation, or even allow him the opportunity to offer a defense.

And that simply will not do. Which is why he must follow her inside the ballroom. And then ask her to dance. And then continue to seek her out as the days and weeks of the season progress.

2023 Logan/Veronica, New Fic, New Year!

Friends and fandom mates!

Just a quick announcement that I'm going to switch course from doing a daily roundup to doing two roundups: one to capture days 1-4, and one to capture days 5-7.

Our fandom is a wee bit smaller than it used to (gee...I wonder what happened? *swears in Rob Thomas*) but already there's been some amazing enthusiasm, content, and conversation. Can't wait to see what exists in this fandom after this week that didn't exist before.
