just to talk more seriously about this since I just saw their 'app is shutting down already' video: it is so unbelievably scummy to act like (in turn encouraging your consumers to act like) the authors are the issue. This lady, team, whatever has turned this into a "the ao3 authors are terrible people and ableist for not letting their work get scraped for this app that doesn't encrypt its data and belongs to a company that makes ai shit" thing and it ticks me off.
If you have trouble reading my fics: DM ME. I WILL RECORD MYSELF READING THAT SHIT OUT LOUD TO YOU. IDC. I was a little actor for a while in my youth. I'll give you the voices. The audio drama. Whatever. Just let me keep control over my work. I don't think it's fucking evil of me to say 'hey, I will literally resolve ur accessibility issues myself so please do not unhinge my fics from my name and put them somewhere else' like...?
it just makes me so mad to know there are people out there that really do just think of fanfic writers as less than. They think we're content farms and we exist to bring them content and we have nothing to do with our work and I hate it. I love you fanfic writers. Fr. With every bone in my body. You're a hard worker and you deserve to be seen and appreciated and I appreciate you. You're creative and cool and you deserve to be proud of your work and have a say in what happens with it.

Let’s get Hind’s Hall to Number 1. Macklemore has stated that ALL proceeds from streaming will be going to UNRWA to help displaced Palestinian families. So, if you’re struggling financially, this is a brilliant way to raise funds that will help affected families get the help that they need, whilst simultaneously spreading a very important message.

It’ll essentially mean we’re getting streaming services to pay up, as typically they pay artists around $0.003 per stream— so, for example, if Hind’s Hall reaches 10,000,000 (ten million) on Spotify alone, that’s $30,000 for UNRWA. Life changing numbers.
The best way to amplify streaming is by adding it to your playlists, or making a playlist with duplicate additions of the song (with other tracks inbetween.) Again, thank you to Macklemore for doing this and using your platform.
To add to this - there are 25 MENA artists who published Rajieen 6 months ago and all the proceeds of the song go to Palestine Children’s Relief Fund
