ANOTHER APOLOGY had nearly been quick to follow, but she would hold it back with a quick clamp of her lips. Taking that brief moment to ponder, to try and actually relax… before eyes would raise to meet the side of his face for a moment. But not for too long, she hadn’t wanted to make him too uncomfortable by staring at him for too long (So she believed, told herself then). The tension eased ever so slightly upon her hunched shoulders. She had… hadn’t she? This was what her parents would have wanted her to do after all, had it come to a situation like this. Not that she would have ever wanted to see this day come.
Itsuki hadn’t actually expected the officer to continue conversing with her during their ride there. “O-Oh…” Not having expected the sense of ease that would come with it. Both from the words of assurance offered (Whilst jokingly conveyed, it surely held a great deal of authenticity to them), and by the quickly broken silence itself. Should it not have been easier to say nothing at all? After all her struggles in trying to even express herself earlier? Still… the child couldn’t help but offer the tiniest smile up at him, the moment she had caught sight of his own, “A-Ah mean… yer da police…” And, what of that, Itsuki? What did that mean because of that? “Ah can’t imagine wha’ we’d do wit'out y'all.”
What she would have done if she hadn’t had them to turn to.
“… It’s nice.” That hadn’t been too difficult to answer, for she had definitely meant it. Hawkins certainly was different, as it was to be expected. The change in atmosphere and community of people enough to bring about some new excitement in this child’s own life (Maybe a little too much), “Otosan an’ Okasan told meh it would be… So, it’s jus’ startin’ all o’er again, rea-leh… An’ dat ain’t so bad. An erryone’s been real nice, so far…“ And that was what mattered to her above all else, right then.

The grin and short huff of repressed laughter was genuine at her comment. That was sweet. He had a reputation around town, he wasn't sure if some townsfolk would agree with her confidence in them. Though, he did agree with her statement, considering the amount of calls he took that didn't need police involvement, but it was a small town...

At least, they used to be non-serious. The amount of calls he got since Will about missing children from concerned parents had doubled almost overnight (most of which ended up with a confused kid riding up on a bike a little after curfew, thankfully enough), the paranoia wasn't something he wanted to deal with but a part of him knew that he should have expected that. Still...he was just hoping that Itsuki was just another case of separation. That's all he could do for now.

“I'm sure the station appreciates the faith, kid,” he replied, working the humor back into his voice, though it wasn't as genuine as it was a few moments ago. He was tempted to add on the fact that he'd had someone cuss him out not even a couple days ago for being 'lazy', but decided to leave that out. Wasn't the time for that.

“Yeah, it's a good town,” he continued, “I'm not surprised your parents decided to settle here. We've got a community of parents who did the same, so I'm sure you'll find some kids your age if you haven't already.”

Hello my sweet beaus, I would like to thank those again that have been with up to this very point. For making these dark times just a little lighter, and giving me every bit of hope I can get to keep going… For those that have seen Version 1 to this very version, and to have responded and shared them around, god bless your heart and soul. For we wouldn’t have been able to make it this far without all of your help

Continuing from this post, my father’s condition has been noticeably deteriorating over the last few months. Needless to say, despite all that he is doing, no matter how much I still see him fight, he is very much on his last legs. With the last few times that he has gone to the polyclinic and hospital. All my father mainly fears is that he has nothing to leave us, should the worse come to pass (Something that I do not wish to dwell upon). It has reached a stage where he has even quietly broken down when he had believed that no one was looking… something I had never seen him do in years. I don’t care about being left nothing (For he has certainly done more than enough for us over these years), but I care deeply over the fact that with each day, we’re so close to losing him. To see that he will never be freed from any of this…

I have racked my brain and tried putting together every single thing (Save for animating) that I can possibly offer to you in terms of my services. I only wish to support my family in any way I can. All I have been able to do was lend small amounts (From out my allowance, the commissions that I do through here, and hopefully in time, my new job) to him on emergencies, and that is what I will continue to do (It is him that continues to deal with all these debts which we face each month). I am still also looking for a job, but will definitely find every means possible to earn what I can for him.

A friend suggested that I do a little voice work too, but as I have no experience in that sort of commission work, you can look through my recordings here, if you happen to be looking for a singer or a Tara Strong impersonator (I do a decent Bubbles, Timmy Turner and Twilight Sparkle) for your custom recording needs.

You can also donate here to my KOFI. To which a little thank you gift (Be it a doodle or a little graphic) will also be done with my utmost gratitude.

So please, if you are interested. Please email me via WHOLAHAYOLA@GMAIL.COM.

EVERY REBLOG means the absolute world (EVEN SHARING THIS THROUGH OTHER SOCIAL MEDIAS WILL HELP SO MUCH TOO), even if you can’t commission or donate something. Thank you so, so much in advance for all your help… thank you.

You wanna know the worst thing that’s ever happened here in the four years I’ve been working here? You wanna know the worst thing? It was when an owl attacked Eleanor Gillespie’s head because it thought that her hair was a nest.

SLIGHT RELIEF leaving her in a deep exhale, little hands would reach up for a moment to clasp themselves in front of considerably chapped lips. She wished she could have offered more than this, she really did. Cold was the night itself, and never before had she truly been out this late. NEVER had there been a time that she would have wanted to be in the company of an officer (What child did, really?). And yet, it was at this moment, during a situation such as this, that she realized how COMFORTING it actually was to have his presence nearby.
She didn’t know what awaited them the moment she was returned to her home. Whether it would all be solved… or not. All she could certainly think about then was… what was going to happen from here on out, the moment the car ride itself came to an end. A momentary respite, with the calm words that she would take from the bro himself.
Nearly rushing out a little ‘Thank ye.’ the moment she had heard that tiny bit of assurance from him, Itsuki instead offered a flustered little nod and bow before clambering her way into the passenger seat. She would speak the next time, however, whispering a tiny: “Okie…” before beginning to put on her seat belt. As she awaited for him to get into the driver’s seat, sinking back just a little into her own as fingers tugged at the ends of her windbreaker sleeves.
   “Uhm… uhm sorry again ‘bout all-a dis…”

“You have nothing to apologize for, kid...” he started once he was inside his truck, Hopper looking over the address again as he mapped out the route to her house in his head, “You made the right choice coming by here.”

Hopper knew that he'd have to have a word with her parents if they actually were there after all. (An idea that he hoped was the case. A stern word was a lot better than what he'd have to do if they weren't anywhere to be found.) It was a small town, if they weren't at home it wouldn't take too much to find out if any of them were around. Still, having to keep her at the station with the possibility of social services getting involved was enough to add to his stress at the idea alone. With a sigh, he pocketed the paper she had handed him and started up his truck.

“Yeah...” he continued, trailing off as he glanced behind himself as he pulled out of the stall, “You're not the first kid to show up at the station lookin' for their parents. We're pretty good at this by now.”

It was a good attempt at humor on his part, something to ease the tension a little bit. Hopper gave her a small smile once he was safely on the road, though it didn't quite reach his eyes. At this point he would have expected some tears if not outright crying. She was a strong kid, he had to give her that. Still, he could see that this was hard on her, even if a rational part of him was saying that they'd have this solved by the end of the night. If not, they'd figure it out.

“Sounds like you guys just moved here. Are you liking it here?”
