“My confidence only grew because I wanted to be a role model for someone like me.” —Maxwell Vice Tong“

Minds blown. I’ve always wanted one of this gif images I never knew how they worked buT GET INTO THE DRAMA 😍🤩
That’s my momma!
You might recognize Maxwell Vice Tong if you caught the revival of Runaways back at New York City Center in 2016. Or if you’re a Teen Wolf fan. Or paid close attention to the catwalk at Spring 2018 NYFW. Or read Ice Vice Magazine, which he launched on his 18th birthday. See, Maxwell does a whole lot—and he does it well. He was just 13 years old when he started using Tumblr, and found a community he could finally relate to. What he found was so much more. He found a community that would not only inspire him but showed him—and so many others—how to celebrate and empower identities outside of the white, cisgendered norm that dominates traditional media. Over the next six years, Maxwell Vice honed his creative skills until he was in a position to be the kind of role model the world needs more of; one willing to press back against constrained norms, one who lifts up others, one not afraid to be wholly themselves.
I’m in tears. I remember being on this site wanting to be one of those “tumblr kids” AND LOOK! MOM I MADE IT! 😩😩😩
