hello everyone!

i know it’s been AWHILE since a post has been made. there’s a lot of factors as to why i’ve been on a long hiatus. it makes my heart warm to see this blog still get so much love even after all these years.

maybe this will make some of y’all happy but i’m considering coming back seeing that people still look forward to these reactions! i def want to fix up the blog a bit as well (it do be a bit outdated)

Seventeen Reacting to Your Insecurity About Your Chubby Cheeks

S.Coups/Seungcheol - When he would see you being unhappy about your cheeks he would always give you a thumbs up and a big smile. ~ “I love you for you, and your cute cheeks are a bonus~”

Jeonghan - Jeonghan would do a double take when he heard you mumbling to yourself about your chubby cheeks. He would quickly get you to sit down and quietly tell you how much he loves you for you and thinks that your cheeks are a part of your charm, but he also emphasizes that its not your only charm. ~ “You shouldn’t be insecure about something that adds to your beauty,”

Joshua/Jisoo - Joshua would just start to smother you in sweet words when he heard about your insecurity about your cheeks. He wouldn’t confront you directly, about it, but he would definitely turn your insecure comments into sweet compliments. ~ “No! I love your cheeks, they’re so cute, I promise!”

Jun/Junhui - He would just look at you and simply tell your beautiful, and affirm that every time you’re insecure about your cheeks. No waffling about for him, he’s very straightforward, but he’s always smiling when he affirms you.  ~ “Love, I love you for you. Nothing changes that.”

Hoshi/Soonyoung - As soon as he heard that you were insecure, he would start to shower you with love. Nonstop compliments on everything for weeks on end. Even plain stuff. But if you ever asked on what was going on, he would just say that you don’t deserve to be insecure about anything, even your cheeks. ~ “I love you so much, you’re my moon and stars, it’s impossible to measure the volume of my love,”

Wonwoo - He would just stop and just become increasingly enthusiastic about your cheeks and how much he loves them and he loves you and he would do everything he can to make you feel better about yourself. ~ “I love you and your face and everything, yes, can’t you see me nodding?”

Woozi/Jihoon - Honestly he would be a little bit confused at first but nonetheless he would be extremely supportive and tell you how much he loves you and your cheeks ~ “I don’t get why you’re insecure about them, they’re one of your best features!”

DK/Seokmin - He would pull out all the embarrassing aegyo to make you laugh and forget about your insecurities in the moment. Once you’re done laughing he would tell you, cheesily of course, that he loves you for you and that your cheeks are a part of you. ~ “Don’t you know that I love you because of your smile, personality, and those cute cheeks?”

Mingyu  - For him, the world would stop for Mingyu. He would just ask all the members about your cheeks, and they would all agree that they were pretty cute so he just coolly tells you that everyone thinks that you’re lovely and that you shouldn’t worry about what others say. ~ “Come on, your cheeks are like one of your best features!”

The8/Minghao - He would try to coolly tell you that your cheeks don’t matter to him, but then he would just smile and cuddle you fiercely to make all your insecurities melt away. ~ “I think you’re cheeks are the cutest, okay?”

Seungkwan - Seungkwan has slightly chubby cheeks too so he would just ask who made you think that way. Then he would tell you that your chubby cheeks are adorable, and he doesn’t think you’re a lesser person because you have them. ~ “Listen, your cheeks don’t make you you. You make you you. And I wouldn’t have you any other way, ok?”

Vernon/Hansol - He just smiles when he hears about your insecurities an tells you how much he loves you and your cheeks, and he’ll just start slowly showing you off to his friends like, yeah look at my beautiful partner, how about that? ~ “Hey, you look really good tonight. No, your cheeks don’t look bad, and they never have.”

Dino/Chan - He would just hug you and smile at you. He tells you that the chubbiness of your cheeks don’t matter to him and he loves you for you, and he would always send you encouraging messages on his phone from then on. ~ “I think you’re beautiful today! I did yesterday too! And I’ll do the same tomorrow! All because I love you!”

I decided to make the reader attend a fansign event in Korea, since that would maybe make it a bit more....jarring?? is that the right word? Idfk

S.Coups/Seungcheol His eyes passed over you when you were waiting in line. He kept glancing back at your spot to study your face. You seemed nervous and he could tell this was maybe your first time attending an event for them. As you got closer he noticed the outfit you chose, and how it complimented you so well and you seemed to be taking pictures and recording. When you got to him, he was instantly shy and blushing at having your attention on him. “What is your name? You are very cute. I see you from far.”

Jeonghan He saw you during their greeting and smiled at you. He waved in your direction as to not be obvious, however he kept glancing back at you when he turned to wave at the others attending the event. He tried doing more poses in your direction so whenever you took pictures you got a good view of him. Once you reach him at the table, he takes your hands in his and smiles at you. “Hello! What is your name? Name is cute like your face.”

Joshua/Jisoo He spotted you and was happy to see you since, it meant you either had to save up just for the event, or you were vacationing/studying abroad. He’d make sure to make a mental note to see what language you spoke, and if it was one he spoke, he’d speak it to comfort you. He’d also help and translate for you to the nearest members so that you wouldn’t get flustered. “Don’t worry about the language barrier, we can feel your energy and it makes us even happier to know that you were brave enough to come anyway.”

Jun/Junhui He noticed you looked different from the Korean fans. He smiled and mentally applauded your bravery to come to an event where, you may not be familiar with. He knew how it felt to have a language barrier between you and your peers. Not to mention when it involves celebrities that also may not speak your native language. He’d try to convey his attraction to you as best as he can. So in his limited English he tries flirting with you. “You are very, beautiful. I like your smile.” He gestures to his own smile and holds your hands.

Hoshi/Soonyoung He spotted a face that didn’t look Korean and was intrigued. He looked in your direction and felt this heat spread across his cheeks to his ears. He noticed that you watched and listened attentively and that you seemed a bit frustrated at not understanding something. He whispers to either Vernon or Joshua how to say a few phrases. Once you get to him and are before him. He shyly repeats what he was taught. “Sorry, you cannot understand. I learn English for you. Thank you for support. You are very pretty.”

Wonwoo The other boys were joking about and when one of the members moved to one side of the stage, he happened to see a face that caught his attention immediately. After the member moved away, he kept looking at you and he kept trying to keep himself from staring so much. He tries to spend the rest of the event recalling what he does know of English. As well as silently whispering English words to himself. When you are in front of him, he does his best to pick out words you say that he knows and piece the sentence together. “Oh yes! I know little bit. Thank you for love and support? Yes? Okay. You are very, pretty.”

Woozi/Jihoon He actually notices you after one of the other members points you out and he is intrigued. He noticed that when he smiled in your direction you brightened up and he couldn’t help but feel shy afterwards. When you reached him he tries greeting you in his limited English. He understands that you don’t speak Korean, and he nods his head to show you he understands. As he signs your stuff he writes a note in English and asks if you understand it. “I am thankful you listen to Seventeen music. You are nice and pretty. Please support more?”

DK/Seokmin He heard his name be called in a voice that had a non-Korean accent. So when he turned his head, he spotted a foreign looking face. He smiled at you and he smiled even brighter when you waved at him. When you reach him to get his signature on your stuff, he can’t help but smile and hold your hand. “You not Korean? It’s okay because I love Carat! Thank you!”

Mingyu He grabbed Vernon and pointed you out. He asked for some pickup lines that he could use. He practiced them mentally and he whispered them to himself to get comfortable with the pronunciations. So when you reached him he froze up and smiled at you. He listened to what you had to say and was able to piece together what you were saying. At the last second he told you the pickup line. “You are a Carat, but your smile is priceless...Sorry,my English not best.”

The8/Minghao He was not prepared to see an international fan in the crowd. He was appreciative that you still came to the event and he was definitely proud of you. He’d feel bad that you looked lost when the group spoke. He’d ask Joshua and Vernon to translate since, he wanted you to enjoy the event as well. So when you came up to him and he heard you thank him and mention his request for translation he smiled. “It’s ok! I can’t speak English well, but you listen still. Carat, inspire me to be,brave. I learn for you.”

Seungkwan He looked out on the crowd and saw a foreign face. He immediately called out to you on his microphone and asked everyone to commend you for your bravery. The other members and fans welcomed you and he tried to greet you in English and he blushed at your smile when his accent jumbled his words. Later when you arrived at his spot, he apologized for putting you on the spot. “Sorry I make you shy! I proud of my Carat. You are very beautiful! I better my English so next time, I speak English good!”

Vernon/Hansol  A member mentioned that a foreign Carat was in the crowd. He looked over and was surprised. He waved at you and welcomed you in English. He asked where you originate from and when you responded he was quite surprised. He kept an eye out as well as tried to await if you called out anything at any of the members so he could translate the comment to the directed member. When you arrive at his spot, he was suddenly much more shy. “It’s cool you came all this way just for this event. I hope you at least take some time to enjoy Korea. Make the most out of your trip!”

Dino/Chan He could not contain his excitement when he spotted you. He felt so many emotions at the same time and he waved at you and sent hearts your way. He couldn’t help but feel giddy at your reaction. He then remembered his limited English and begin to panic at how he would communicate with you. As you reached him he first asked if you spoke Korean, even if it was a bit and frowned at your disappointed face. “It’s okay! I only speak little bit English. You are very cute! My Carat is so tough! Carat don’t speak Korean but come to sign. Thank you.”

Seventeen Reacting to You Being Latina

As a Latina, I know there is a LOT that goes into dating someone who is Latinx. Specially when there is differences in culture but I mean...people are people??? So I focused on them learning the differences.

Seungcheol/S.Coups He first noticed that you do sometimes forget that he doesn’t speak any Spanish and the few words he’d hear you say when referring to household items would make him blank out. You would repeatedly gesture to his sandals but be saying some word repeatedly. “Wait...what are they called? Can you say that again?” He learns a lot from you and shows it off at interviews.

Jeonghan He likes hearing stories about your family members and sometimes you bring up moments that he is actually worried they are all on bad terms with each other. When he learns that your family is just very blunt and playful with each other, he nods and laughs with you. “I still don’t get what’s wrong with not being hungry sometimes but, it’s nice your family encourages you to eat.”

Jisoo/Joshua He grew up in Los Angeles, he can also speak Spanish fluently, he’s more than happy to put his experiences to use. Whenever he sees you missing home or others who you can connect to, he sprinkles the language throughout his conversations with you to make you feel less alone. He’s also always up for talking about any Latin dishes you both miss eating. “I miss that one too! I liked the seasoning that went into it. You’re making me so hungry right now.”

Junhui/Jun You both connect on the whole ‘respect elders’ and ‘large family get-togethers’ that is a stable in both your cultures. He learns that you also have dishes that serve parts of animals that many would avoid or be entirely grossed out. He likes searching up different dances that are popular to those of your family’s home country. He finds the traditional clothing very beautiful and colorful. “Am I getting the rhythm right? I think I’m dancing it better than you though. Just kidding!”

Soonyoung/Hoshi He asked Joshua to tell him more about your culture when you first told him. He wanted to impress you with his knowledge of your culture. He also likes to sit down and ask you questions about your family and the country they are from. “Tell me more about the desserts! They sound so good! I really wanna try them some day. I’d take you with me if we tour internationally.”

Wonwoo Hearing you talk about the country and its values he feels that he can see how it affects your personality. Whether it is a big part of how you think, or its ideals makes you break away from them. “It’s cruel the people had to experience that. By the way, can you tell me more about your drunk uncles. You said they recently had a party right? Anything crazy happen?”

Jihoon/Woozi You introduced him to the more popular artists from your family’s country. He seemed to pick up the more popular instruments as well as the overall love of music and dance. He was surprised to see the large variety of different genres and enjoys learning about any meanings behind the songs. “I thought you only had dance music...What do the lyrics mean? What are the underlying messages?”

Seokmin/DK He’s only heard of a few Latinx artists and some songs as well, due to their high popularity. He tries to learn how to pronounce lyrics to some songs and struggles a bit until you and Joshua help him. He starts bombarding everyone with even more songs, with lyrics he only sometimes understands. “Wait, what do those words mean?...Oh,wow. Your music is very passionate huh? It’s very romantic.”

Mingyu He was happy to hear about the country your family originates from. So one day he decides to learn some new dishes to see if he can impress you. He also learned quickly that even the more simpler dishes need a nice balance of spices. “I thought it tasted pretty good, what do you think?...Missing something?Oh, let me guess, the recipes differ from family to family right? I should’ve known.”

Minghao/The8 He loves to learn new dances from your family’s home country. He starts humming the tune of some songs whenever he’s around you to possibly interest you in asking how he knows the songs. Learning the dances allows him to improve his footwork and teach him how to better loosen his hips. “The music is slow one second and super fast the next second. I don’t mind but I can only imagine how nice it must look when someone who grew up dancing to this does it.”

Seungkwan The colorful traditional clothing is so interesting to him. You show him some videos of the clothing your family’s country have and the dances that many perform wearing those clothes and he’s in awe. They’re colorful and the dances are very cheery. He heard you miss one dish specifically and asked you to describe it to him. So you showed him multiple pictures of you eating the food. “Wow that looks so good! I can see why you would miss it. I wanna try that now.”

Hansol/Vernon He understands the stares and comments that are whispered whenever people notice you are a foreigner. Specially when people assume because of your background that you are some sex symbol that is only good for having children, he gets protective. He knows that people judge other on stereotypes, and that you are not just a piece of meat. “Don’t let anyone tell you who you are. You’re an amazing person, and you won’t let anyone keep you down. Specially when all of that is just lies.”

Chan/Dino He doesn’t get why so many people are shocked that you two are together and always ask about the cultural and possible language barriers. You both are two people in a relationship. What does your heritage have anything to do with it? “I get it can all affect how we act and maybe how we think but, it’s not what we only are. I’m not just this language, you’re not just your skin color. We’re just,people. What’s the big deal?”

Seventeen Reaction to You Being in Love With Food

Just got back from my trip to visit family. And let me tell you, food is probably the thing I miss the most from my trip. I got some free time so I’ll be doing some writing today.

S.Coups/Seungcheol He noticed that food made you brighten up and you seemed to never turn down going out to eat. He thought it was adorable and perfectly fine for he felt comforted in how he always knew you’d never skip a meal. He would always laugh at how your cheeks would always be stuffed with food when you’re eating.

Jeonghan He always chuckles at how at the mention of food, you’d brighten up and be filled with energy. It became a way to bribe you and get you out of any bad moods. So whenever you had a rough day, he offers to take you out to eat and immediately sees you brighten up and lead the way to a restaurant you hear about.

Joshua/Jisoo He finds it adorable that you have something you love very much. He likes when you invite him out to try new restaurants or foods on his days off. It brings a sense of adventure to your dates and he enjoys seeing your reactions to when the food is really good. When the food is bad, you both agree that it was good to at least know what doesn’t suit your tastes.

Jun/Junhui He gets you to do things for him with the promise of food. If he forgot his sweater somewhere, you are bribed with a large pizza to get it for him. However, he always ends up giving more food than the task asked for. Pass him the remote? He orders an entire family size of take out, mostly for you. Beware, he’ll try to take food from your plate when you’re not looking.

Hoshi/Soonyoung He agrees that food is life and gets super excited for dates that involve trying lots of food. Especially when he gets to see your cheeks puffed with food and a big grin on your face. He mimics your face a lot, and he can’t help but find you super adorable. He always tells you that and tells the members about your antics that remind him of a Squirrel or Chipmunk.

Wonwoo He suggested that you both go to this popular cafe that he saw on his SNS. You repeatedly thanked him and you rushed to get ready to head over. He is always searching up good places to eat at and he is always rewarded with your bright smile. Makes those couple hours of researching new foods worth it in the end.

Woozi/Jihoon He is always surprised at your immeasurable amount of love for food. So when he’s super busy with writing and concerts, he gets texts from you about different places you went to eat throughout the day, or places you plan to go. He is always comforted that you are eating and you end up reminding him to grab something to eat. He’s always thankful when you recommend him places to grab some to-go meals nearby the studio.

DK/Seokmin It seems you never run out of ideas for dates. You always surprise him with new places to eat. Each time you both decide to try as many items on the menus as your combined pocket money allows you two. He can’t help but enjoy watching you stuff your cheeks with food. He enjoys it more when you both get different items and feed each other.

Mingyu He couldn’t ask for a better taste-tester. Thanks to you having tried so many different dishes, prepared so many different ways, he likes to here your critiques. Which is usually very small things, such as levels of salt and spice. He likes you sharing different dishes you’ve spotted on your timeline and going to try them. He always tries to recreate the dishes he sees you both enjoyed the most at every place you visit, in hopes that you say his version is better.

The8/Minghao Seeing you ready to eat at any time of the day shocked him at first, but he soon saw it as cute. He once invited you out to eat after a long practice, in the early morning. When he heard that he woke you up, he almost didn’t invite you out, but when you overheard the sounds of a busy restaurant, you perked up and began getting ready to join him. He enjoys the comfortable silence between you two while you both eat together.

Seungkwan He finds it absolutely adorable the way you brighten up at the mention of food. He likes to get something different from you, so that your both can feed each other. When you find a new place, he’s learned to expect to see you add the place to your already long list of places you’ll take him on a date next. It always seems you both have places for dates planned out weeks ahead. He doesn’t mind one bit, for it makes planning dates much easier.

Vernon/Hansol He always jokes about how you show more love for food than him. You always fire back that significant other can come and go, but food is forever. He pouts afterwards until you tell him that you are joking and he is a close second after food. He does enjoy you always having places in mind that serve his favorite foods, so whenever he craves something, you have something to suit his cravings. It makes him not mind being under food,sometimes.

Dino/Chan He cannot keep up with your constant messages on places you want to go and try. Not that he dislikes it in anyway, he sometimes is able to help the guys decide where they will order delivery from during practices. Even when it’s late at night, he’ll scroll through his messages with you and see the picture you took at a nearby restaurant and show the guys. He enjoys the dates you guys go on, because you both eat good food together.

Seventeen Reaction to You Having Family Issues

S.Coups/Seungcheol He got a call from you and it sounded like you were distressed so he met up with you at a cafe. When you tell him about your family and how the arguments are stressing you out, he pulls you into a hug. “You’ve been going through a lot huh? It’s okay to let it out with me,I’m here for you. Don’t bottle it up, or it’ll hurt even more.”

Jeonghan He got a text from you that only read, ‘it happened again’ and he immediately sent you a location to meet up with him and to let you talk about the most recent argument that took place at your house. He rubbed your back as you began to cry recalling the yelling and hurtful words. “You’ve been really strong. I’m proud of you,but don’t keep it inside okay? Remember that I’ll always listen.”

Joshua/Jisoo He was waiting for you outside your house so that you two could go hang out together. When he sees you run out the house with a distraught expression, he ushers you to the nearest park where you both sit on a bench and he lets you talk about the tension in your house. “It must be really hard on you. That isn’t the type of environment you should be in. If you ever wanna escape, you can call me or message me anytime. We can hang out until you decide to go back.”

Jun/Junhui He was on the phone with you after an argument you had with a family member and he was a mixture of worry and anger. He was upset that your own family would say those things to you, but also worried on if it would ever escalate. “Hey, wanna meet up tomorrow? I have an early recording tomorrow so afterwards we can go watch that movie you wanted to see. At times like this we should run away right? Don’t bring your wallet,I’m paying for everything. No buts!”

Hoshi/Soonyoung You both met up for your weekly late night tours of the food market. You both were eating at a booth when you tell him about the fights that have been taking place at home. He holds your hand as you tell him and doesn’t push you to tell him more. “I’m sorry I can’t stop all of that. I would do it in a heartbeat if I could. You know that right? I want you to be strong for me okay? If you want someone to cry on or to laugh with, then I’m always here! I promise you that,promise!”

Wonwoo You called him and told him you were waiting outside the dorms. You hung up before giving him a reason why so he rushed down and let you in. All of the members left to get food from nearby while he stayed back. He ushered you to his room and you told him the argument you had with your mother and how you left without her knowing.“I’ll text the others to order another serving for you. You can eat with us, and if you wanna stay the hyungs won’t mind. I’m always here for you, I know it’s tough right now but if anyone can make it through this, it’s you. I know you’re stronger than you think.”

Woozi/Jihoon You asked him for an impromptu meet up. When he met you at the nearby cafe he noticed that you had a bag that looked quite full. When you asked him if you could stay over at the dorms until your family cooled down he instantly agreed. “You don’t even have to ask. Of course you can stay with us. I can share with one of the other guys so you sleep in my bed. Here, you must be hungry, I’ll order us something and then if you want we can head over and you can settle in. If you wanna tell me what happen go ahead, or not, you decide okay?”

DK/Seokmin He was looking to relax after a long week of practices, recording sessions, and appearances so he invited you out to a movie. When you arrived, you were struggling to hold up a smile and he immediately pulled you over to a nearby table and patted your hand as to ask if anything happened. “You were really easy to convince to watch this movie with me, usually you tell me you’re too lazy! If something happened you can tell me, I’ll listen. I chose a really funny one that everyone is saying is really good. Let’s forget about everything for now, and then after the movie, if you still feel down, then we can talk okay?”

Mingyu You texted him in the middle of the night and he was going to bed after long practice session. You were asking if he could meet up at a nearby park because you needed someone to talk to. He changed and told the members that he’d be back soon and headed over. Once he found you, you began to tell him of the situation at home. He listened and nodded at different points in your rant. “Yeah, that sounds really difficult. I’m glad you told me about it all. I hope you feel a little better after this. I know it’s kinda cold but, wanna go get some ice cream? There’s a place that stays open late and they have your favorite.”

The8/Minghao You two were out hanging out at a nearby park after he had a long week of appearances on TV and radio shows. You two were sitting on a bench when you asked him if you could talk to him about something and he encouraged you to go ahead. After you told him about the arguments, he patted your hand and smiled softly to encourage you to let everything out. “You don’t deserve to be in that kind of situation. I know it hurts a lot right now and it may seem like things are getting worse, but just know that later on you’ll laugh at yourself for getting so worked up over this. Until then, I’ll always hold your hand through these times.”

Seungkwan He got your text as he got back to the dorm with the guys after a group dinner. As he read it, he rushed to put back on his shoes and jacket. He told the others it was an emergency and that he’d be right back as he ran to where you told him you’d be waiting. He found you at a bus stop and hugged you tightly. You told him about the argument you just had and how you couldn’t stand being there any longer. “I wish I could take your pain away. You shouldn’t have to suffer like this. Come on, you’re staying with us! Tomorrow we can spend the whole day together and have fun. Let’s go get some sleep.”

Vernon/Hansol You woke him up with your call and he groggily answered. When he finally realized you were tearing up as the call continued he woke up fully and left the room to go the hall to answer your call. You told him how you had a big argument with your family and are now in your room trying to go to sleep but with trouble. He talked with you for a bit so that you’d let everything go and when you were beginning to fall asleep he decided to ask to skip practice tomorrow so he could spend the day with you. “Hey, tomorrow I don’t have practice so we can hang out all day. We’ll go eat, maybe go to a mall or take a walk in a park or something. Sound good? Okay, I’ll see you tomorrow, get some sleep. Night.”

Dino/Chan He was going to meet up with you to go try out a new ice cream shop that opened near the dorms. He was waiting for you at the shop and when he spotted you he called you over to the table he got and you sat down. He questioned your upset appearance and when you didn’t want to tell him he nodded and called over a waiter. After ordering, you decided it would help to talk it out. As you told him the recent argument you had at home he took your hands in his and silently listened the entire time. “You’re so strong, I am proud of you for staying strong. But don’t keep this stuff bottled up, it will only hurt you even more. Thanks for telling me this, I don’t want you to think I will force you to say anything, but if you want to, I’m always ready to listen okay?”
