the way everyone is like this man here and this man there and I’m over here like my favorite eternal push and pull in taylor's life is how Taylor and Olivia will be doomed to orbit each other and clash and crash into each other until one of them leaves the spotlight or dies. and how Olivia is what Taylor made her and anointed her to be, but she has outgrown her maker. and don’t you want better for your children? but no wait not better than me... wait hold on... the ego of the mother creating her disciple in hubris saying of course she’s just like me until oh no…. she’s just like me… I was irreplaceable until I created my replacement…. forever intertwined. too resentful to let it go but too enamored with the reflections of themselves they see in each other to destroy. even if they don’t speak the world has shackled them together something something. and I think so much of the album is her hitting the realization head on that nothing lasts forever. nothing. not love not even after YEARS of work put into it and not public favor and not self esteem it took YEARS to build and not even satisfaction both in sex and in life's spoils. but also that huge one like oh and me…. even I won’t last forever. not mortality but worse; the waning moon of my talent being the brightest in the sky. i LOOOOOOVE this meta textual shit and it's a tale as old as time, quite literally a history creator and creation are doomed to repeat. she both hands her the keys to the city on this album and also inadvertently creates a song that is the exact same concept olivia made, but this time Olivia beat her to it like... The future isn't here yet, and it is bright but it belongs to someone else now!!!

Tommy bringing big "Pretty sure you're in love with Eddie, but who am I to turn down a pretty boy" energy to this

The gentleness with which ABC is going about bisexual Buck makes me extremely emotional. We know they’re not gonna backtrack it, we know they’re not gonna make it a phase, plus they’ve given Oliver freedom to actually say that he believes that Buck is the most comfortable with the term “bi.” We actually won.

Still very funny to me that Tommy showed up fully intending to be like “look I’m not trying to take your man” and Buck just blurts out “sorry that I wanna fuck you so bad it makes me look stupid.” And Tommy was just like. “Um. Me? I mean I’m down but are you sure this was about ME?” But still kissed Buck anyway.

it's kinda comforting to me when my friends are a little annoying or longwinded or abrasive or tired and inarticulate, or they don't do the exact politest thing in every interaction, and stuff, because I know I'm sometimes annoying, or take up a more than my share of conversational space, or forget to ask them questions, etc etc, and... like, I'm always working to be nice to my friends and to get better and better at friend-ing, but it just makes me feel more human about it :}

anyway I love you friends plz know I'm not counting, in fact I feel great affection toward you even (especially) when conversations go less than Perfectly Ideal

I'm not proud to say it but this line from a 60 year old detective novel made me re-think some things about friendship
