HER  HAND  IN  HIS  HAIR  is  enough  to  take  down  the  giant  teen.         never  would  he  admit  to  being  putty  in  her  hands  ,  but  anyone  who’s  ever  met  him  could  clock  it  a  mile  away.          she  had  him  in  every  way  -----------  DID  SHE  REALIZE  THAT  ?         anything  she  wanted  ,  jacob  would  provide  what  he  could.           he  didn’t  have  cullen  money  ,  but  he  had  a  stubborn  heart  that  never  gave  up  when  his  mind  was  decided.          

her  question  draws  a  pause  from  him  ,  head  tilting  slightly.          ❛    the  kiss  . . . ?    ❜        he  clarifies  ,  voice  gentle.          he  hums  ,  his  hands  falling  to  rest  on  her  thighs.        a  light  squeeze  ,  then  his  hands  trace  up  to  her  hips  ,  fingers  slipping  through  the  belt  loops  of  her  pants.           he  smirks  a  bit  &  tugs  her  forward  in  her  seat  ,  tongue  wetting  his  lower  lip  absently  as  his  dark  gaze  flickers  over  her  face.          ❛     absolutely.                if  every  part  of  your  body  isn’t  on  fire  when  we’re  touching    ,    what’s  the  point  ?    ❜            he  winks  playfully.            he  brings  one  hand  up  to  cup  her  cheek  ,  thumb  brushing  pale  skin.          ❛    though  . . .   gentle  is  nice  ,  too.        as  long  as  i  get  to  be  close.   ❜

SLEEPING  WAS  HARD  FOR  THE  WOLF  --------  never  used  to  be  ,  but  ever  since  his  encounter  with  the  newborns  that  led  to  half  of  his  body  being  crushed  in  the  blink  of  an  eye  ,  he  had  nightmares.            ones  that  left  him  sweating  &  shaking  when  he  finally  jerked  awake  in  the  night.           the  unfortunate  part  was  that  having  edward  near  him  when  he  slept  seemed  to  make  the  nightmares  worse  -----------  OF  COURSE  IT  DID  :   he  felt  like  the  newborn  had   ;   cold  &  unmoving  against  his  side.           logically  ,  he  knows  edward  wouldn’t  hurt  him.            everytime  he  wakes  from  one  of  these  dreams  ,  the  first  thing  he  does  is  reach  out  to  his  side  to  try  &  find  him.         

but  of  course  ,  he’s  across  the  room  with         THAT  LOOK.          the  one  that  told  jake  loud  &  clear  he  had  read  his  mind  while  he  slept  &  saw  the  dream  ;  saw  the  hatred  he  had  for  that  moment  in  his  history  where  a  vampire  nearly  killed  him  ;  the  disgust  he’d  felt  about  the  creature  then.        none  of  it  held  true  anymore  ,  at  least  not  to  edward  &  his  family.        but  if  edward  cullen  was  one  thing  ,  it  was  a  god  damn  over  thinker.            ❛    you  don’t  look  like  you  slept  a  wink  ,   ❜         he  muses  ,  voice  groggy  &  husky  ,  body  still  shivering  slightly  from  the  aftershock  of  the  dream.            ❛   come  here.   ❜

IF  THERE  WAS  ONE  VAMPIRE  that  jake  was  more  cautious  of  ,  it  was  jasper.           &&  the  shitty  part  of  that  was  that  jasper  could  fucking  FEEL  the  wolf’s  fear.       no  ,  fear  wasn’t  the  right  word.          he  was  . . .    A N X I O U S.             he  knew  about  the  others  fighting  background  ----  he  could  see  the  tension  in  his  body  &  the  scars  that  littered  his  skin.           it  didn’t  help  that  the  leech  was  a  GODDAMN  MODEL.             he  didn’t  like  how  jasper  could  just  stand  aside  &  still  be  the  most  intimidating  out  of  the  group  -------  even  emmett  made  him  less  anxious.            so  he  eyes  the  vampire  ,  unsure  of  what  to  do  with  the  two  of  them  alone  for  once.            everyone  else  had  gone  on  a  hunting  trip  with  nessie  ----  jasper  had  already  fed  ,  &&  jake  could  pretty  much  tell  they  left  one  behind  so  he  couldn’t  snoop  around.         or  maybe  it  was  to  actually  get  them  to  know  each  other.       EITHER  WAY  -------  

               ❛   SO  WHERE’RE  YOU  FROM  ?    ❜           he  muses  ,  sitting  forward  on  the  sofa.       ❛   your  accents  strong.  ❜           NO  SHIT  ,  DUMBASS.           he  purses  his  lips  ,  trying  to  stave  off  the  blush  that  wanted  to  brush  across  tan  skin  from  the  embarrassment  at  how  stupid  he  must  sound.          why  did  he  care  if  jasper  thought  he  was  dumb  ?          did  he  want  to  impress  him  ?            ❛   just --------      haven’t  really  met  anyone  from  anywhere  else  before  bella  &  all  of  you.    ❜

HE’S  NOT  EXPECTING  THE  KISS  ,  but  he  certainly  doesn’t  pull  away  from  it.           her  attempts  to  pull  him  in  only  work  because  he  leans  forward   ---------   he’s  eager  catch  her  lips.         a  hand  comes  up  to  tangle  in  her  blonde  hair  ,  a  gentle  little  groan  escaping  into  her  kiss.               how  many  dreams  had  he  had  just  like  this  ?            dreams  where  he  didn’t  have  to  beg  for  her  affection  --------  dreams  where  she  eagerly  came  to  him  instead.            

there’s  no  treating  her  like  some  fragile  doll  --------------  he  remembers  how  edward  used  to  barely  touch  her  or  kiss  her.          HE  NEVER  UNDERSTOOD  THE  GUY   ------   at  least  ,  he  hadn’t  until  he  knew  the  truth.         of  course  the  vampire  wouldn’t  want  to  break  the  human.           but  jake  has  the  same  strength.            he  could  snap  her  just  as  easily.           but  he  wouldn’t.           he  knows  his  limits.         kissing  bella  ---  touching  bella  ?          it  wasn’t  something  he  was  scared  of  doing.         

so  he  kisses  her  with  enough  fervor  that  he’s  almost  certain  her  lips  will  swell.         he  even  nips  at  her  bottom  lip  for  added  fun.        he  smiles  ,  eventually breaking  the  kiss  as  to  not  completely  lose  himself.        ❛    if  that’s  how  you’re  gonna  act  every  time  i  say  you’re  outta  my  league  ,  then  i’ll  put  you  on  a  god  damn  pedastal.    ❜
