So my new next door neighbor knows who I am because of this I am DYING! Im so glad everyone likes it! I found a 3DS Version of Tale of Two Towns but the New Beginnings one doesn't seem to work. If anyone knows where the missing games can be found, please let me know!

HARVEST MOON: PRIDE PARADE RELEASE V0.2

Finally! A mod to let you marry your favorite same-sexed Bachelors and Bachelorettes in Harvest Moon: Animal Parade for the Nintendo Wii!

This mod replaces the Male playable character models with the Female ones and vice-versa.

FEATURES:

  • Play as a ‘guy’ and marry the Man of Your Dreams, or play as a ‘girl‘ and marry your one and only Best Girl.
  • All outfits have been swapped, so changing out of the default outfit shouldn’t break anything.
  • Graphics for stamina bar and map screen have also been replaced.

WHAT’S NEW:

  • Dialog for bachelor and bachelorette heart events, marriage, and childbirth have been re-tooled to fit.
  • Game Title ID changed from RBIEE9 to CBIEE9 to be compatible with GameTDB integrations. (Thanks, @sgibbz​!)
  • Dolphin replacement texture pack to fix Logo and Load Screen Character Portraits. (Temporary solution until I can edit those TPL files reliably)

DOWNLOAD:

Fresh Install: (Recommended)

Update Install: (ONLY to update from a v0.1 patched iso to v0.2 | Experimental)

Optional Logo and Load Screen Character Portraits:

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

  • (windows) xdeltaUI
  • (mac) multipatch
  • the patch (see above)
  • An .iso of Harvest Moon: Animal Parade for Wii (I can’t provide a download link.)

HOW TO INSTALL:

  1. Run multipatch(mac) or xdelta UI(windows) (the screen both give you should basically be the same)
  2. Select your patch file that you downloaded where it asks for a patch file
  3. For “source file” or “file to patch”, select your Animal Parade .iso file
  4. Choose the location/filename to save it as. Anything is fine as long as it ends in .iso
  5. Run the patcher!

The file that it spits out is playable immediately!

For the dolphin pack:

  1. Unzip the folder you downloaded to your Documents\Dolphin Emulator\Load\Textures\CBIEE9 folder
  2. In Dolphin’s “Graphic” settings window, click on the “Advanced” tab
  3. Check “Load Custom Textures”

  • Edit dialog for festival dates / family events / other random events.
  • Any screenshots of dialog you find while playing that needs to be changed would be a huge help! Send ‘em my way if you find any!
  • Edit names / descriptions for outfits to reflect the correct ones.
  • Update the Logo / Load screen to not rely on Dolphin’s texture pack feature.

KNOWN ISSUES:

  • I’ve gotten reports that v0.1 of the mod may not work on an actual modded Wii. I will look into this, but finishing the mod first is my main objective.
  • All animations are still tied to the ‘original’ gender.
  • Some of the dialogue/text has not been changed, such as some events and the names and descriptions of the outfits.
  • Children may still refer to you by the wrong name (i.e. “mom” for the male character). I think I’ve figured out how to fix it, but haven’t implemented it yet.
  • This version contains the awkward, unfinished version of Julius’s rival heart event, but I wanted to go ahead and give y’all an update. 😘

I've been out of the loop with the series for a little while but, I wanted to ask.. I really like the look of Trio of Towns, but having mainly played older HM games (I'm talking AWL, DS-- Tale of Two Towns being the most recently released one I own), is Story of Seasons very... different? Idk, I guess I'm worried they changed the formula or something, so I wanted to ask someone who has played it first before I make a decision.

I really like trio of towns tbh. My fave is a wonderful life and animal parade, and I like trio of towns because of the focus on being friends with everyone and the mulitple crops you can have and how detailed it is. Some people don’t like that, but as someone who enjoyed the intrecacy of the hybrid crops in awl and the whole focus on friendship and wishes in animal parade, I think it is a good game. The intrecacy is fun for me. I always play until the end of the game day, which was something I wasn’t doing in some of the inbetween games like island of happiness. I also like the pets. I feel like I’m running a big successful farm.

If you like a challenge and getting to know all of the villagers, and you don’t mind putting a lot of effort into your crops and raising animal quality, this game is for you.

In this video I realize how slow everything is woooo! Also we get introduced to everyone in Flute Fields and Harmonica town! Sorry it is so long. I will try to add markers so you can skip to the important stuff. Also I redid all of this after I finished this so I could make gifs, so don't be confused later when I have 0 G instead of 120 G. I bought fodder so my cow doesn't die.

Tips for Day 1:

 -buy milk and a strawberry in flute fields from marimba farm and horn ranch for Bo in the future. 

 -Get a cow from Cain when you enter the barn at Horn Ranch.

 -Buy fodder for your cow, and if you can, grass seeds. I bought 6 fodder and 9 seeds, and after you buy the milk and strawberry, you should be out of money. 

-Introduce yourself to everyone you can. You probably will not be able to get the toolbox from Mayor Hamilton until Spring 3, which is tomorrow since the game starts on Spring 2. 

 -Do not forget to introduce yourself to Chase, Coleen, and Jake. They are not in houses, but outside at the pier and the church grounds.
