All prizes have been sent out! Thank you so much to everyone who participated in Erasermic Week 2019! It was a lot of fun and we were blown away by the response and everyone who participated.
We look forward to doing more events in the near future!
I think the anon is just concerned because there has been an alarming amount of zines lately that have stated that they were hosting giveaways but never followed through/kept things vague and didn’t announce winners
That’s totally understandable, especially from someone who’s part of the zine scene myself. It’s up to the winners if they do want to be announced, but if they don’t, I’ll dig up my receipt from when I shipped them out and block out the identifying info, if that helps.
You said you were waiting for responses before announcing the winners; can we see the responses? Or at least the winners receiving the prizes?
We’ll message them to see if they’re alright with being announced. As for them receiving the prizes, it’s really up to them if they’d like to post pictures or anything. Please keep in mind that we do need to think about their privacy and whether or not they’re okay with these things.
Were the winners of the giveaway ever chosen or picked? Are you gonna write a formal announcement?

Day 1: Reminiscence/Memories/Recollection
Shouta wasn’t one to reminisce. It wasn’t logical to worry about past mistakes or past occurrences because they already happened. It was much more productive to prevent those mistakes in the present and look towards making the future a better place.
His husband, on the other hand, looked towards the past often. Hizashi frequently looked at old photo albums and listened to the first pieces of music he made. He said it made him happy to see how far he had come in his life.
So, even if Shouta wasn’t all that fond of the past, he would still occasionally join his husband in looking through highschool photographs and the such, enjoying the sound of Hizashi’s voice as he rattled through all the memories while the soft sound of a playlist Hizashi put on played in the background.
“And this was the first date we went on!” Hizashi exclaimed. “We went to the new cat cafe that had opened up around the corner, though I suppose it isn’t all that new nowadays, isn’t it?”
“Yeah…” The date reminded Shouta of everything that happened before that point, just as a new song came up on Hizashi’s playlist.

We were truly blown away by the amount of people participating and all the incredible things that came out of this week! Reminder that if you’re still working on things, that’s fine! Late submissions are fine and we’ll be waiting until Wednesday to draw the winners of the giveaway!

We really enjoyed putting this on for you, and we’d like to run other future events. As such, we’ll be changing our url to erasermicevents and start planning other future events. We’ll be talking about some ideas we have later on in this post.
if you haven’t already joined it, there’s an Erasermic server called EM radio that’s great for talking about Erasermic and creating art and fic, as well as meeting new people and making friends. If you’d like to join the discord server, here’s the link!
Right now, we have three ideas for future events that we’d like to put on. We’d also like to do a secret santa, but it’s a little too soon to start signing up for that.
1. Big bang: if you don’t know what a big bang is, please look here! In short, a big bang is where artists and writers sign up and get paired together and artists create work that accompanies the writing.
2. Exchange: like a secret santa, but differently themed. People make a list of prompts centering around Erasermic and those lists are given to recipients to create things off of. Everyone gets someone else’s list and everyone’s list is given to someone else.
3. Free, open zine: you’ve probably seen zines around the fandom, since they’re pretty popular nowadays, but this is a little different. An open zine doesn’t have an application process and as long as you create something within the given dimensions and by a deadline, you’ll be included. The artwork and fic would then be formatted into a digital pdf and sent out for free with an option to donate, with donations going to a charity.

I was too lazy to individually post my stuff for @erasermicweek, so here is it all in one go
EraserMic week is over, so here is all ten drawings I did over those nine days! This was so much fun, and I actually found I loved working with the deadlines and trying to get everything out in time. Some of the images didn’t make it to completion, but we’ll see if I can finish a few of them up later. Next year I’ll have to start them earlier.

Suppose our sleepy old grump decided his son’s birthday was a good enough reason to shave (and smile???). That or Hizashi forced him to.

Summary:
His knees gave out and he collapsed onto the grave, vision hazy. He wasn’t sure if it was from the booze or the tears in his eyes. “Shou…” His voice was rough from underuse. His cheeks were wet; he must’ve been crying then.
It took all his strength to crawl up to the headstone and clear a space for him to sit, back against it. He held up the bottle in his hand and laughed mirthlessly. “I brought whiskey. You always said it was better for celebrating than tequila.”
