Hey everyone, I just heard that Andi Mack was canceled. I know I haven’t been as active in this fandom recently, but I still wanted to express my gratitude for the show and for all of you. Andi Mack showed us nuanced, diverse characters that had flaws but all had kind hearts. It showed me the first gay character on Disney channel. I saw myself in Cyrus, and i’m sure so many LGBT kids felt seen and understood because of him. I’m honestly heartbroken that Andi Mack was canceled but I take comfort in knowing how much of a difference this show made on our lives for just 3 seasons. To the cast and crew of Andi Mack, thank you for everything. And to the Andi Mack fandom on tumblr, thank you for bringing so much happiness to my life. We felt like one big family, and i’ll never forget the bond we shared.

Headcanon that Andi doesn’t realize that she and Amber have definitely been dating but has a huge crush on her. Amber thinks they’re a couple but are just taking it slow and casual.
One day Amber leans in for a kiss and Andi just gets so flustered and she’s like “ahshdbdhe i have a huge crush on you” and Amber’s response is just “??? Yeah I’d hope so we’ve been dating for at least a month??? We keep going on dates???” which causes Andi to just. Question everything about her useless lesbian brain.

Personal Note: this show is truly one of a kind. It’s drama and storylines are all very entertaining but it also incorporates the innocence of being young. The angst isn’t overwhelming to the point where the characters lose their personalities, but instead makes them stronger. Every episode has an underlying message. I really hope the series gets renewed and if not, gets picked up by a different channel. Disney has a good thing going for them, they shouldn’t let it go. Growing up is hard, and it’s important that Disney has at least one show that lets young people know that life isn’t a perfect sitcom.
