SOME INFO ( 2/3 paragraphs ). the sudden change was unexpected, but gladly accepted by her family. remi and her family were glad to be far from the evil fairy who cursed her, but they would be cautious nevertheless. they hoped that their absence from their world would hinder the curse’s effect, and so far, there have been no incidents. then again, she is lucky if she’s ever allowed to leave the house.

although her parent’s wealth is no longer as great as what it used to be, they can occasionally afford glamour, which allows for one-sided communication with plants, animals, and faeries. ( she can understand them, but they cannot understand her. )

of course, remi does not allow the curse, or her paranoid parents to hold her back. although she is often accompanied by escorts when she goes out, the gifts of beauty, wit, grace, dance, song, and goodness she was given as an infant easily allow her time to herself.

Having a strong sense of right and wrong (albeit not always CORRECT, as his beliefs can sometimes go against the majority’s), he undertook the position as the town’s detective of sorts. His form is quite human, so there is no need for glamour. Though, he does have a tendency to change a bit physically when he gets riled up and to the verge of RAGE. He tries to control it, but sometimes his animal-esque side peeks up without his control. If possible, he tries to leave the scene because he KNOWS he can get out of control.

What he attempts to do is to provide a safer life for the fables and get behind the crimes considering them.  Payment will be taken before the job, personal connections may get you a discount. 

When out of duty, he engages in Drinking Activities and just trying to manage in the world which isn’t too easy on him. Sometimes he’ll go into desperate measures to make the month’s end.

SOME INFO ( 2/3 paragraphs ): Stuart’s life seemed to be going great. He had a princess who restored his eyesight, two children, and heaps of money to rely on. Fate, however, seemed to have a different plan for him. He awoke in the woods, face down in a pile of bramble. The situation ( and the pain and darkness ) were all too familiar for him. The blind man wandered around, shouting for help until someone stumbled upon him. They asked him if he wanted him to call 911. The last thing he remembered before passing out was saying “What is, pray tell, 911?” When he awoke in the hospital, he was near delirious. Assessing the danger of the situation, he declared amnesia so this new world would be explained to him. The talk of presidents and cars and cellphones and modern medicine left him confused and full of dread. Eventually, Stuart got back on his feet. Without enough money for fake eyes, he took some miniature eight balls from the local pub and plopped them in. 

Working on the streets as a singer for a few months, Stuart was taken in by a musician and offered a job and shelter in his local music store. Stuart accepted eagerly, and currently works as a salesman. He is poor, so very poor, but he does what he can. Stuart is currently in the search for other fables like him, hoping to uncover what happened. He hopes one day that he will find Rapunzel and their children if they somehow made it to this world as well. He enjoys writing poetry and singing. He also meant to have the eights sticking outwards in his eyes, but he put them in backwards. Now he just looks kind of stupid. 

NAME: Tristan Hepburn AGE: 25 GENDER: Male FAIRYTALE / FOLKLORE / STORY & CHARACTER: The Pied Piper of Hamelin JOB: Street musician, flutist. SOME INFO ( 2/3 paragraphs ): One act of kindness was all it would take to keep the world good … Yet he was proven wrong time and time again. The first being the slaughtering of his family, his child sister killed before his very eyes, due to their magical abilities. But he held on. With the flute he had so often played for her, he travelled in hiding and hoped to keep the world good. One by one, he would perform acts of kindness but was met with a turned up nose or jibe at his skills time and time again. Many nights being on the streets, cold and wet, he came upon the last town that he would help.

With what little of his magic he wished to show, he promised the town safety from disease-carrying vermin and began to play his flute with the agreement of a hefty reward and appreciation of the panicked people. The melody attracted the rats and he lead them away to drown in the nearby river. Upon returning, however, he was once more met with the attitudes of those far superior. He was cursed, taunted, and ultimately humiliated. And … he snapped. People such as this had taken the one closest to him … so what if he did the same? So, late in to the night, he appeared again. His magic no longer contained as he played his flute. This time, the children of the town arose from their beds and followed him only to never return. The cries of the town satisfying him but he could never regain the sweet sanity he had before. Now … he just wanted revenge.

Upon finding himself transported to the real world, his own fears showed. He could not perform his magic. The power he had of controlling minds no longer an option in distracting the authorities or luring anyone at all. A short time in the modern world proving only one thing to him: He needed money. With money, he could do as he pleased and get away with whatever he wanted. His flute becoming his main income as he played on the streets and in whatever performance would take him, he hopes to save enough to buy enough glamour to return his powers.

George found it particularly hard to adapt to a new style of living at first, where social rules are everything and not everything can be so easy to win over. However his excellent talent with charm and the wealth that he still had were enough to give a head start for the future. George chose to find anyone like him around, so that he could live in some solace knowing that he was not the only one in this mess.

Because he was more human from the start compared to a few others, he had no problems blending into what seemed like a normal human life, it was merely the set of social rules and the laws and the manners of the people that need be studied. With time he picked up writing as well and that is one hobby he would prefer to stick to lest he lose his mind here and there from having to remember he was basically dragged off from his homeworld into this insanity.

One night was all she needed, before going back to being basically a maid to her abusive mother in contentment. Of course, it didn’t end like that, as you can see. Even now, years and years later, the term “Little Miss Slipaway” is still a prominent nickname for her (mostly as an insult), due to the tricks she pulled not to get caught by Prince or his guards—hiding in a tree, in closets, even a bird coop, all to get away from the guy who just wouldn’t leave her be. 

               Riku’s a girl free from all things of her past; having been and abandoned by her family and the flirtatious prince long ago. It was said that although she was massively resourceful, having been treated like dirt before, emotionally she was massively lost due to how young she still was. She’s now the owner of an apartment building on the edge of Fabletown, only housing those who don’t cause trouble—Most prominently, the Fable children that still look far too young to live by themselves/have neglectful parents, as they remind her of herself. Being a busybody workaholic, though, she does take up many side jobs to keep herself working; such as selling information or a housekeeper for hire, singing while giving a grin no one can see behind. It’s a hard life, but a good life.

NAME: ueno minako, mostly called mina AGE: 19 GENDER: female FAIRYTALE / FOLKLORE / STORY & CHARACTER: tinkerbell, peter pan JOB: usually unemployed, works wherever she can but doesn’t last long, might steal things on occasion. SOME INFO ( 2/3 paragraphs ): mina never really imagined how the world would be like outside of neverland. she was happy there, following peter pan around on his adventures, she couldn’t really ask for more. now stuck in the real world, things were much harder for her – fitting in wasn’t as simple for a fairy. usually no bigger than a few centimeters, mina relies on glamour to pretend to be human and she tries to do it as many times as possible. unable to afford it most of the time, mina stays hidden on eden’s apartment while she’s on her normal size, looking through the window and wishing she could be outside. while it is dangerous for her to leave, sometimes she’ll use her wings and sneak out during the night, being careful not to get caught – she’s not supposed to be out when she’s not on human size but she can’t help but leave; she wasn’t meant to stay trapped somewhere for so long. she rarely spends money on anything other than what’s stricly necessary, saving up money however she can to buy glamour, exploring the world and making the most out of it when she can. her curious nature makes the life inside that apartment almost unbearable and so incredibly frustrating, draining. more often than not she’ll hide on eden’s pockets or jackets when she’s about to leave just to catch some fresh air and have a glimpse of the world out there — there’s so much to see and yet she can’t help but feel caged.

Once upon a time, in a kingdom by the sea, there was a very greedy king. He had gardens and orchards that were miles long surrounding his palace, where all kinds of animals and plant life could grow for his admiration. He loved only the finest things in life. This included his music, which could only be provided by an enchanted Nightingale; the Nightingale would sing day and night, whenever the King wished, and was even able to save the king from death itself. But Fabletown wasn’t the kingdom by the sea, and this isn’t once upon a time anymore. Equipped with their beautiful singing and magic for healing, Iriye lives in the inner parts of Fabletown and work as a physical therapist for the elite Fables who need a little bit of R&R. They are able to afford glamor, letting their pretty feathers be hidden and changed into a human visage. Iriye misses their home in the cherry tree orchard, and miss the freedom to fly and sing when they want with all their heart. It makes them quite irritable and hard to work with.

NAME: Una Nobori AGE: 21 GENDER: female FAIRYTALE / FOLKLORE / STORY & CHARACTER: The Little Mermaid JOB: Escort SOME INFO: While content with her life at sea, Una had always dreamed of living amongst humans, particularly because of the idea of their immortal souls. As a mermaid, she would have a life three to four times the length of a human’s, sure, but the fate that awaited her in the end was nothing more than turning into seafoam. The idea of becoming something more was appealing. Here in the “real world,” however, getting legs is no easy task. She depends heavily on her client base to support her, living an exceedingly simple life for herself as the bulk of her money is spent on glamour to maintain a human appearance.

                      On the rare occasion that Una is unable to afford glamour, she’s stuck in a wheelchair with a blanket over her tail. Even then, she can’t be in public too long or she’ll dry out. The glamour enables her to communicate with others as well, given that the language of mermaids is unintelligible to most others, and can only be heard clearly when underwater. When she can’t speak, she prefers to text people; she’s glued to her phone at all times. Because her lifestyle is so contingent on buying glamour, she can be incredibly stingy when it comes to other purchases, whether for herself or for others. The classy lifestyle she projects as an escort ends when she returns to her humble studio apartment.
