Hey guys, good friend Frankie was handed this today. Please reblog this. It's pretty damn important. Thank you.
those people who say the same thing about every horror movie and it's like "i would've killed myself immediately wouldn't even have tried to survive" me about movies where a character gets pregnant
Secret: I stole milk by accident one time as a child because I forgot to pay and nobody tried to stop and remind me
Could have happened to anyone. No immoral aspect of forgetting to pay once as a child ❤️

guillermo del toro’s pinocchio is a beautiful film but my god no one has adapted that story like neverafter. you can never look at it the same way again after listening to lou wilson, a black man, explaining that he chose to play as pinocchio because it’s a story about a little boy who isn’t allowed to make mistakes. that in pinocchio's story, he is fundamentally barred from childhood at once upon a time. he must earn something that everyone else is granted from birth. the other boys get to tell lies and play and get into trouble, but when pinocchio does the same thing there are grave and violent consequences. his pinocchio is trying to understand why the world is so unfair, why the rules are so different for him, why everyone else gets to be a real boy.
and I think about it every day.
Since you guys like my male name list, here are some vintage girl’s names from old historic documents, recently updated:
(Sorry I listed the name origin/individual’s place of birth on some and not others.)
Not sure where the years came from, but Theodosia in particular is way older than 1806. The earliest well known Theodosia is a third-century AD Christian martyr.
Valeria and Drusilla are also Ancient Roman. Tryphosa is an alternate spelling for Tryphena and appears in the New Testament. Rhoda definitely appears before 1786 and is also biblical.
These names are sourced from real documents and graves. The year next to them is the date of the record I spotted the name in, not when the name was “invented”. Some are pre-existing names anglicized or misspelled, some were created by the child’s parent.

nobody wants you to know this but being transgender is actually the most amazing thing that can ever happen to you. like you just get to be whatever gender you want! and it's so easy too; the lines between the genders are not as existent as they might lead you to believe.

personally i think you should be able to afford a place to live with a part-time job
dare i even say that, with how much technology has advanced in america, the 40 hour work week shouldn't be as commonplace and you should still get full-time employment benefits when you're working less than that actually
I believe that if we forced part time work to have benefits we're probably solve labor issues if we were smart about it. Like we'd have to close loopholes and remote work issues and the whole "no benefits despite this being 40 hours a week as it's contract."
Alternatively I'd love us to do a France and have benefits go through federal government and not be dependent on your job. Like how crazy would it be if you could get fired and not lose coverage??? I think this would force employees to not be total shit to people and make the world better.
Honestly we should riot more.
I personally think that you should still have a place to live even with no job. It might not be a beautiful fancy McMansion but having a (guaranteed) place to live even if you don't have any "marketable" skills to depend on would really help a lot of people- for example, people who need to flee abusive situations. (But yes we still need to pay people fair and liveable wages FFS)
Imma keep it real with you, tumblr: I'm not buying the mystery fertility treatment
I'm curious about the methodology, but not enough to actually dig deeper so I'll just use my imagination.
