‘To The Sun’ Spell Jar

a Gorillaz-inspired spell jar to promote healing and happiness

Materials:

☀️Paper & something to write with

☀️ Demon Days (the song which inspired this)* *optional

☀️Chrysocolla - brings harmony and hope, eases fear and guilt

☀️Labradorite - strength, healing old memories, protects against negativity

☀️Citrine - cleansing/energising, alleviates depression, enhances optimism

☀️Mint- revival, restores the ability to hope, helps rid of excess emotions

☀️Rosemary- peace of mind, protection, happiness, love

☀️Bay Leaves- cleansing, healing

☀️ Blue, Lavender, and White candles

~On the paper, write down whatever has hurt you/you would like to move past and heal from.

~Using the white candle, burn the paper. Collect the ash and place it in the bottom of the jar.

~Layer your herbs and crystals however you please on top of the ash. With each new item added, you welcome in happiness and past events lose their grip on you and your emotions.

~Sit or stand in the sunlight (if possible), hold the jar close to your person. Visualise yourself stepping away from what’s hurt you and moving towards a brighter future.

~Seal the jar using blue and lavender candle wax. While doing so, sing along to the song (if you want) or simply recite: 

~Keep the jar where you can see it (a desk, altar, etc.)
