Okay but for anyone who legit wants to know how to calculate it correctly:
The elbow joint on average rests a couple inches higher than the navel, so if you measure how long the distance is from the middle of the shoulder to that point then you have the length of the upper and fore arms!
So if anyone’s wondering about legs too, the simplest rule of thumb is that the length from the top of the leg to the knee is equal to the distance between the top of the leg and the bottom of the pectorals:
And I wanna stress that when i say “top of the leg” i’m not talking about the crotch (please don’t flag me tumblr it’s an anatomical term) i’m talking about the point where the femur connects to the pelvis, which is higher up on the hips:
It’s easier to see what I’m talking about in this photo of a man squatting:
So yeah if you use that measurement when using this technique you should get fairly realistically proportioned legs:
But remember! messing with proportions is an important and fun part of character design! Know the rules first so you can then break them however you please!
HOW THE HELL DID I FIND THIS POST OMG
@heresshawnie you never did give me those female refs
Oof don’t follow this if you have a cartoon style
Do follow this if you have a cartoon style!!! There’s literally no downside as an artist to having a solid understanding of human anatomy, because it allows you to make informed decisions when it comes to character design.
i’ve never been to a waffle house. what’s it like?
huh
How to trick a monkey.
hey op can we talk
Through the safety of internet anonymity? Absolutely.

This variant of the Goldentail / Bastard Moray is known as the Banana Eel due to its colouration and markings resembling a ripe banana.

Hey guys currently there are unskippable ads on youtube going around for an anti-abortion movie called Unplanned and the ads have graphic & disturbing images of medical procidures/operations that are clearly not abortions. Please be careful.
btw this was posted on 3/19/19
Quick Note:
There are several ways to report YouTube ads.
Way 1: Follow this link and fill out the form to the best of your ability https://support.google.com/google-ads/troubleshooter/4578507?visit_id=636887231330203725-136172428&rd=1#ts=6006595
Way 2: When the ad comes up look to the bottom left corner, and you’ll see an info sign (An “i” in a circle). When you click it, it’ll pause the ad and a box will pop up with a list of reasons why you see that particular ad (“Age, gender, etc.” usually) and there should be blue text with a round grey symbol next to it at the bottom saying “Stop Seeing This Ad”. Click it. A List with three reasons will pop up (“Irrelevant, Repetitive, Inappropriate”) Select “inappropriate.” Hit “send.” After the box will disappear and the ad will automatically close, even if there is a second ad to be played. One report won’t do much, but I’ve heard of other ads being removed when flagged in mass like this.
Way 3-ish: Tell the content creator you see the ad through. They have some control over what ads appear before their videos (They can choose general categories to allow to block like “political,” “health,” etc.). The only problem is that they don’t know which category an ad belongs to, so depending on the creator they may or may not bother, but it’s good to let them know!
