(Yes, I am sipping tea whilst looking over things. And you might be asking: “What’s next for you, oh most devilishly handsome and fiendish of writers to ever grace this site with your presence?”

...Okay maybe that’s overselling it, but for real. I don’t see myself being too active on this blog anymore. My workload only continues to increase and whatever free time I do get, I want to use it to do other things in life. Namely, getting ahead in life.

If you catch me here after this, assume I’m shitposting or reacting to something like FEH or Smash. Perhaps a drabble every now and again if the mood strikes me. Some of you saw that the last Dual Series machinima was alluding to some new project... there are dare I say plaaaaans in place for that but it’ll be something different altogether. It would need to take something drastic akin to Joker’s reveal, what started the Royals vs. Thieves video, for me to hang around for an extended amount of time here again.

There are select peeps I’ll still do stuff with the boys via Discord. Their grand public ongoing tale started here however is kaput. It’s been a fun run. Askbox and submissions will be open still and if I get anything there I’ll answer it the next time I happen to be glancing at this site.

“The circumstances were... complicated.” Having changed out of his Phantom Thief garb now that the fighting was over, the boy codenamed ‘Joker’ stood before the princes now in his everyday school attire.

“The process involved the lot of us having an all-out brawl in order to get your bodies in a state where we could ‘steal’ your hearts... or in this case, your spirits.”

“And on your account, those two that came to our aid before from another world... Arisato and Narukami, were indisposed?” 

“Them and their boss... they called on me because a bigger threat was on the rise in the Light Realm. You two unknowingly got caught up in the crossfire; your very essences plucked your bodies... and placed into copies of vessels from ‘This World’s’ denizens. I managed to scrape by intact, and they had a feeling their friends from Nohr and Hoshido would need the aid, so here I am. And now, you’re free to go.”

True to his word, the very same set of doors that the fools used to move between ‘Stages’ flung open for them... and if one were to peer through to the other side, their familiar camps were visible in broad daylight without a speck of Subspace to be found.

“And you also said that this gate thing was going to stick around in case we wanted to come back, right? I...guess you’re gonna visit us, would it kill you to write first so we expect you?” Takumi was still a little wary from the whole ordeal truthfully. It always did take a lot to earn his trust, so he’d keep his keen eyes open for anymore deceit from his now third fool companion.

“It will be your last surprise if you opt to spring a sudden challenge like that on us again. But...” a smirk etched itself onto Leo’s face, as if daring the male across from him and his hetero life partner to make another move. “I’m going to believe that won’t be an issue. We really do need to get home now. What will you do, Phantom Thief?”

“Oh, you mean me?” Suddenly, Joker’s disposition shifted some; seemingly taking on more of an air of innocence.

“I don’t know what you mean... I’m just a high school student.”

Bernadetta: Do I HAVE to practice swords?

Bernadetta:

“Heh.”

A gunshot rang out, just as the boys had claimed their victory... and then a second, bodies of the two Royals falling one after the other... their spirits rose from the bodies they had been borrowing and within moments, a flash of light erupted from within; ethereal forms fading with their physical selves returned anew.

Lashes fluttered and bodies picked themselves up off the floor, groans accompanying them.

 “What... is this? Wait... can it be!? It feels like my normal armor but...”

“Whoa. My back feels much lighter. Almost like...”

They traded glances, pairs of amber eyes scanning the other head to toe incredulously... then they broke out into a fit of relieved laughter whilst carelessly throwing an arm around the other with glee.

“WE’RE BACK TO NORMAL!”

Standing across from them with a smirk, the loser of that game lifted his hand to his face and removed the mask he had been donning on all this time. And with it coming off, as did his deceit; revealing what appeared to be a genuine smile underneath.

“I’d call this mission... a great success.”
