Hi! Do you like demon gunslingers? How about hotheaded, cocky hitmen who try to play it cool but more often than not make an ass out of themselves with their fiery temper? Or maybe angry, hardcore tsunderes that have never uttered the phrase “It’s not like I like you or anything!” in their life but you just know they’re thinking it? Then Aevin may be the guy for you! There he goes, prattling on about the weapon James uses as though it invalidates him as a fighter. The truth was that, while he acknowledged using a more modest weapon wouldn’t impact his ability to deal damage, he’s been so used to what he has made his own for so long that it may detriment him to go to something else.
Even so, that held little relevance here.

“Believe me when I say, the “power” you possess is something I actively consider, but doesn’t scare me away.”  He’s killed enough beings similar to this snide little shite that he’s borderline on his own humanity at this point.
“Your underestimation is laughable. Suppose it shouldn’t surprise me that you and your kin are that petty and insecure.”

“Oi, don’t lump me in with every other demon!” Aevin snarled back, Petty and insecure... Like hell he was anything like that! ...Okay, maybe he could be petty, but insecure? Absolutely not. “I’m a cut above the rest, y’hear?! Demons across the Netherworlds fear my name, an’ if that ain’t enough...”

Cue the demon taking a step toward the much taller man, irate red eye focused on him through his messy brown hair.

“I’ve killed dozens of Overlords, an’ most of ’em were a lot scarier than you. So I ain’t underestimatin’ anythin’, pal. I know exactly what I’m gettin’ into.”
