the year was Two Thousand and twenty-four. I took a puff of my Electronic-Cigarette, inhaling the vapours. my mobile terminal buzzed in my pocket, a flat slab of microchips and glossy touchscreen. I ignored it....... probably another Electronic-Mail

It can be, but it also can not be, and it's really up to the individual person whether they like a particular term or why they use it. I know older bi people who are like... well, pansexual actually fits me better, but I've been calling myself bi for so long that changing just feels exhausting. I know people who use bi or pan based on which flag they like better. I know people who use them interchangeably.

As long as people don't give bi or pan weird exclusionary definitions (like the people who were saying bi is transphobic and so if you don't identify as pan you are a transphobe a couple of years ago), I don't think it really matters.

This meme probably best expresses how I feel about the subject.

story about a man who only ever dated women bodybuilders and is now dating a chubby guy: this was different from being with a woman. women, with their sharp edges and hard bodies, tongues battling for dominance. Josh was all soft curves and smooth skin,

golem that protects a daycare. it is made of playdough.

When playdough is left out to dry it becomes rock hard. As quickly as overnight a ball can dry solid. The color changes too, growing dimmer or even developing a white haze that blooms in little round circles across the surface as the salt react with air.

It surprisingly strong for a material that was completely moldable only a day ago. And so lightweight too. Not like real rock. Light enough to tread on tiny feet without risking injury.

It stays strong for less time than stone though. Only a few months can reduce the hard chunks to a soft powdery substance that begins to crumble like limestone. Leaving dusty flakes behind.

But that's okay, because when Sunny's limbs turn old and brittle there are always more little hands ready to hand make him new pieces.

Sunny likes children the best of all of humanity. And not just because it's his job to. The little ones are the kindest. They volunteer to look after him. molding his body out of art projects carefully built into his flesh. Or joyus bursts of laughter and funny colored smears of clay across his body.

He has been every color of the rainbow, usually all of them together. And he has been the color of any clay or stone as they smeared their colors together.

He has been many different shapes too. Molded and remolded by tiny hands hundreds of times. Changing with every child that molds him to life.

It's a good life he thinks. Maybe the best one a golem has ever known.

[ID: a twitter thread by @/maryamalwan. It reads, โ€œPost videos from the ground and get shadowbanned for graphic content. Reshare an analytical article and nobody reads it. Write for a publication and get censored. Speak to a journalist and have your words butchered. Protest and get arrested.

If you vocalize anger, you're violent. If you're depressed, you're dramatic. If you tell your family's story, you don't have credibility. If you spit out statistics, it's still questionable. Blame the bomber: you're antisemitic. Blame the funder of the bombs: you're un-American.

Talk to administration and get gaslit. If you don't, you're aversive to dialogue. Wear a keffiyeh, wave a flag, put up a poster naming your dead or recognizing your heritage: you'll make other students uncomfortable and unwelcome. Your identity is too political.

Ask to cut academic ties and you're targeting their identity. It doesn't matter that you don't have access to the program. You don't exist. If you wear a mask, you're a coward who has something to hide. You're scary, too. Take it off and you're doxxed, stalked daily for months.

You feel unsafe around some of the soldiers who just returned from killing your people? The soldiers who hospitalized your friends for chemical inhalation; who punched, kicked, and ripped keffiyehs off your friends at a gala? That's antisemitic. Your chants make them feel unsafe.

A student who yelled at you and called you a terrorist until you had a panic attack is talking to Fox News about the importance of prioritizing the impact of words on the listener. Don't you see? Arabic words like "intifada" are a threat to him. He's meeting with the NY Governor.

You should be deported. Why don't you go there if you love it so much? But you're not allowed to move there, even though your family was kicked out, because you'll threaten the demographics required to maintain an etnnostate. Your existence here threatens Jewish students, too.

We don't care that there are Jewish students and faculty fighting alongside you for the right of return and equality. They are "kapos" & โ€œHitler youth," even if many of them are descendants of Holocaust survivors. No, these slurs aren't antisemitic, because they're not real Jews.

We care about everyone's safety. That's why we surveil you. We put up new cameras with Al facial recognition tech to discipline protestors but we can't use it to identify the people who attack you. If you report harassment, we'll target you for attending an unsanctioned protest.

Pass a referendum with an overwhelming majority and get ignored. If you peacefully escalate, you're disruptive. You keep breaking the rules we just made up to prevent you from doing this! Why don't you trust us? Why is our community so divided? How can we heal these wounds?โ€]
