God, it's been a whirlwind of excitement for me since I was able to pick up PLA again. Yesterday I Finally finished my last non-legendary dex entries, cherubi and spiritomb, AND got a shiny ralts on my way to Spiritomb which was an astounding time to get a shiny that I love for such a momentous occasion.
Today, I tackled Volo and Giratina, and I can't provide photo proof beyond dates I caught them, but fresh off the heels of Giratina and taking him to outbreaks in the highlands for research, I finally found the shiny I LITERALLY dreamed of having: Hisuian sneasel.
For minor context - I've made my protag an old oc with a rich backstory, and a few months back dreamed he was welcoming a newcomer in postgame, with this sneasel in tow. It was significant in the dream, and I love it anyways, and it suited the character in context, so I have been leaping on every chance possible to find one. But even with a perfect dex entry I just wasn't seeing any.... Until today.
Needless to say I feel incredibly spoiled, and catching Baby (the sneasel) on the day I finally defeated Volo and finished the major postgame feels incredibly fitting.
This is one of the first 'main' games I have even come close to finishing in its entirety since my Sapphire file. It has been a delight from start to finish to play in an immersive setting with so many pokemon to see and interact with in various ways. No matter how rote it gets to do research, for me it's still been very hard to put down and on the days I couldn't play it you could usually find me living vicariously through youtube streams.
Rest assured I will continue playing my main file, and will probably resume posting screenshots on here. (Not to mention I already have a second file I'm partway through lol) But I'm honestly not sure that I could have had a better or more memorable note to 'end' on than these last couple days.
