•Normalize Fanart for Fanfics Again You Fools•

It's not cringe anymore (it SHOULDN'T be cringe anymore), just do it. You're doing something you enjoy so who cares what anybody else says. So spread the words my fellow internet brethren.

Spread the Word :)

I have drawn so much fanart of my own fics lmaooooo but in all seriousness YES!!!! Speaking from experience (which, like HOLY SHIT I cannot BELIEVE that I can say that now, I'm STILL freaking out about it), most authors LOVE when you make creations based on their works!!!

I literally save and cherish every bit of fanart anyone has ever made of any of my fics or prompts

For elves, the neat part about taking human lovers is the relatively short time of commitment. After reaching 300 years of marriage, you’re starting to get suspicious of your spouse.

I still think that my favorite urban legend/folklore fact is that there are certain areas in New Orleans where you cannot get a taxi late at night not because it isn’t safe, but because taxi companies have had recurring problems of picking up ghosts in those areas who are not aware that they are dead and disappearing from the cab before reaching the destination and therefore stiffing the driver on the fare causing a loss for the company.

An occupational hazard of cab driving I had not previously considered

I love that the nola problem here is not “ghosts in my taxi cab,” but “ghosts are FUCKING BROKE DEAD BASTARDS & I GOT BILLS

Horror is when ghosts get into cabs and scare drivers Magical realism is when cab companies have to develop policies to prevent ghastly fare-theft

In a book about the tsunami in Japan in 2011, the writer talked about how there was a huge increase in reports of ghostly activity. Apparently in Japan treating ghosts rudely is basically considered the stupidest thing you could possibly do. For months after the tsunami, taxi drivers would pick up a passenger only to have them give an address in one of the devastated areas. The cab driver often looked up halfway to the destination to find their fare had disappeared. Not wanting to be impolite to the person (even if they were dead) they’d drive to the address, open the door to let them out, then drive away.

After S2 David Tennant and Michael Sheen discuss driving the Bentley :)

Michael: Series One David spent his whole time moaning about how hard it was to drive that Bentley.

David: And cursing. Cursing.

Michael: This series, I get to drive it.

David: Yes. How are you finding it?

Michael: Awful.

David: Yeah.

Michael: Absolutely awful. I understand everything you’ve-

David: It's terrible. It’s beautiful. It's a thing of great beauty, but you don't want to have to actually drive the blooming thing.

Michael: Just turning the wheel...

David: Yeah.

Michael: It's like The World's Strongest Man event.

David: Yes.

taking a class on sex this semester which has resulted in many fun things like "sex activity" and "sex final" being added to my planner. being very mature and serious about this .

obsessed

I had a class called "What is Evil?" The professor called us his "evil students" and I got to say things like: "I have evil class later." and "I have readings in evil to do." and "Well my evil professor said..."

I miss having that class

Had a dream that I suddenly ended up in Japan against my will and I was specifically inside of a counter service style restaraunt and for some reason my primary stressor was that I couldn’t figure out how to order food and I was next in line and not that I had somehow ended up in Japan without knowing how I got there

Also when I finally went up to pay for some reason my wallet had a mix of US dollars, Japanese yen, and Monopoly money in it and I had forgotten how to apologize in Japanese and was desperately trying to show remorse somehow as I tried to weed out the USD and Monopoly money from the mix

I'm curious. Reblog this if you know how to cook

I don’t even care if it’s macaroni, ramen or those little bowls you stick in the microwave. Please, I need reassurance that most of the population on tumblr WOULDN’T STARVE TO DEATH if their parents couldn’t fix them food or they couldn’t go out to eat.

today is one of these weird days when I miss high school. I've been reading something now for research and remembered, randomly, one of my most esteemed roles in our class: the re-teller of all assigned reading.

we've had a super harsh polish teacher and she'd throw a fit each time someone didn't read the books or poems that were assigned - and it was high school, of course barely anyone read them, let alone on time - and it'd end in either big trouble for the person she caught, or trouble for the whole class.

and as I would have either read the assigned reading myself, or had a good enough idea of what it was about, I would have the good part of my class gather around me during the breaks before the polish lessons and I would retell the story, throw in some facts about the writer, main themes, all that.

I'd also always try to make it as entertaining as I could - partially because I didn't want the girls to be bored, partially because I just really liked the limelight, and partially to impress whichever girl from my all-girls class I chose as the object of my teenage courting at that time. such a silly memory, goodness, and one I haven't thought about in such a long time
