Y’all I’m absolutely heartbroken rn

Jesy Nelson, from the popular British girl group Little Mix, has officially left the group after nine whole years.

I don’t wanna see ANY of you saying it’s another Camilla/5h or Zayn/1D situation because she left the group for her mental health and I sincerely hope that gets respected.

Jesy had been scrutinized by the public and the media for far too long and it’s obviously taken a serious toll on her.

Little mix has been my favourite group for almost five years and their albums and saved me from so many horrible thoughts and feelings and I just hope they still make music and I pray Jesy feels better than she ever has.

Little mix won’t be the same without her but we should do our best to support the girls and jesy with the best of our capabilities.

jesy leaving little mix was just the cherry on the cake we needed to officially call 2020 the worst year.

jesy nelson leaving little mix is sad but what’s even sadder is that nothing ever changes when it comes to how women in the entertainment industry are treated by those who buy into shallow and damaging notions of how the “perfect female entertainer” should look. those same people, with their sheer audacity and lack of self-awareness, who shamed her for being “ugly” and “not being thin enough” compared to her band mates, will no doubt be writing messages of support to her right now; but in six months time they’ll have forgotten all about jesy nelson and moved onto their next target. the endless rancid cycle of damage to the mental health and self-worth of female entertainers will just continue to perpetuate itself unabashedly.

yall don’t even get it. jesy loves the band so much. she loves the girls even more. so her coming to this decision must’ve been so fucking hard for her to make. i dont want to see any one of yall saying otherwise.

Can people stop comparing Jesy with Camila?! Jesy left because she was severely struggling with her mental health. She wanted to quit years ago, but kept going for the girls and the fans. It got so bad that she tried to end her own life. The situation is completely different.

I hope Jesy finds closure and happiness ❤️

This is not the end of Little Mix. Is a new chapter. Jesy is doing what’s best for her health. I know that when the day comes that she feels ready to come back the girls and the fandom will welcome her with open harts.

We will always save the fourth spot for her. No one can ever replace her.

i will never forgive you sick fucks who made Jesy Nelson feel ashamed of her voice and body for the 9 years she was in little mix. shame on you for tearing a woman’s spirit down and participating in the cruel sport of making women feel bad about their weight and talents. shame on you for sending her hate tweets and always asking her how it feels to be the “other type” in the band. shame on you for hurting this woman’s mental health to the point where she felt like she needed to leave the group to better herself which she is entitled to!

y’all will learn to stop being assholes to women and and their bodies one day.
