Hey everyone

My girlfriend (op) and her father got evicted from their home last night, so please help her out as much as you possibly can. Victoria is the kindest person you'll ever meet and never had a single mean bone in her body. She doesn't deserve what happened to her.

On this Mother’s Day so many Palestinian children will be grieving the loss of their mothers, many of whom are still buried under rubble and yet to be found. On this Mother’s Day many mothers will be holding their enervated children in their hands, wishing for even a morsel of food to pass through—yet Israel continues restricting aid in the midst of its horrific starvation campaign. This cannot and should never be a new normal, nor should it be something we grow desensitized to. It should not be something we slow down talking about because “it’s been 6 months.” We should keep talking about it BECAUSE it’s been 6 months. These grieving children and mothers should never leave your mind for a second.

These people haven’t seen liberation yet. They haven’t so much as seen a ceasefire.

I also think it should be added that family-centric days are so very important to Arabs. We literally value nothing more than we do family—it’s how we’re raised. I can’t even begin to compute how the average Palestinian is feeling right now, having to celebrate Mother’s Day without their loved ones. It’s a level of grief none of us will ever understand, so the best we can do is keep the momentum going & be respectful to those who are directly affected by this ongoing genocide. This is not the time to impose your think pieces. It’s the time to give support.

Would also like to take this opportunity to give a special fuck you to the nyt, which saw it fit to publish this on March 20, just one day before Mother’s Day. No matter the death—no matter the motherless children, the childless mothers, the grieving and the pain and the suffering—they continue to be the perfect example of how few fucks the average western media gives about Palestine.

Pious Project provides menstrual care kits as well as soap, shampoo, disinfectants, etc

Gaza Esims lets you donate Esims- these are used to connect to the internet and keep communication going in and out of the country

Operation Olive Branch is a spreadsheet of Gofundmes for families seeking funds to flee the country, each having a link to sponsor them

Stop Gaza Genocide is a google doc that is constantly updated, which includes how to contact representatives, how to protest, and various activist resources (US centric)

Lastly, while not inherently about Palestine, I do want to encourage everyone reading this that If you see a post regarding Palestine- a video, a photo, a livestream, a text post- Archive it with the Wayback Machine. When digital information is prone to deletion and censorship, we cannot afford to lose something as valuable as knowledge.

The whole thing about AI is so fucking annoying, disheartening and straight-up depressing. No place is safe from all of the ai and tech bullshit.

And what options do artists have? What options do I personally have?

Glaze and Nightshade everything? I personally don't have the time or GPU power to glaze billions of artworks that I made. Fucking imagine you make a quick-ish sketch and spend 40 minutes glazing it (and don't get me started on some results of that process looking like the artwork went through 9 circles of bitcrushing hell based on how artifacted it looks)

Put everything I make behind a paywall? I for sure know that only a super small fraction would pay to see whatever I draw, the rest would just not care (either for some personal/general reasons or because people are also having a financial crisis 'cause, girlie, same)

Not post at all? I guess so.

I'm so fucking sick and tired of moving from website to website, trying to have a normal place to post art on and also have a community of people to interact with but time and time AGAIN it all just goes to shit. I wish there was some way to just ban all of these shitty ai things from existing or being developed. Stop treating us artists as some fucking cow you can milk for content and then can just slaughter when we are no longer useful. Fuck AI and fuck harmful tech shit.
