If that thing really is the foundation of the Power of the Titans and they can get it to manifest again by killing Eren, they could somehow interfere with it and remove it from him, separating it from the power it created.

Without the source of the Power of the Titans, Eldians would no longer be linked through the paths. The Nine Titans could lose their powers and the Curse of Ymir. The Wall Titans across the world could lose their forms, ending the Rumbling all at once. They might even return to their old human bodies, and Connie’s mother too for that matter.

This is how the Power of the Titans will be destroyed forever.

To be honest I always thought the "See you later, Eren" in Chapter 1 was a red herring or misinterpretation of Isayama's early art and paneling abilities, but this chapter has given me second thoughts. If Eren could speak to Armin via the paths and appear as his 10-year-old self in the process, who's to say there won't be a conversation between him and Mikasa in the paths where she has a younger, long-haired appearance?

Eren being able to accidentally summon people into the PATHS dimension has opened up many possibilities for his future interactions with the cast. I hope we get more of Kid Eren interacting this way. If so him seeing  a 19 year old short-haired Mikasa feels like a certainty.

What excited me most is that I think we finally have the answer for why Eren was crying when he woke from his dream in chapter one. I feel confident that at some point  young Eren looks down from his unimpeded view of the open sky and notices the destruction at his feet,

Thanks for the ask!

Kawakubo Shintaro, editor of SnK at Kodansha, shared a tweet showing Kodansha’s announcement of suspension of upcoming publication projects due to COVID-19 in Japan. This includes all monthly/weekly manga magazines such as Bessatsu Shonen. This means that the June issue, originally set to be published on May 9th, 2020 and containing SnK chapter 129, will not be released for next month.

This marks the first time in SnK’s history that it has not been published since its debut in September 2009.

I think I figured out what feels off about this chapter. I think Isayama may have tackled too much content in Chapter 119.

The wine Titan transformations has been foreshadowed for months and finally was delivered here, but before we have any time to process the horror of all these classic and new characters becoming Titans, we’re tossed right into Porco getting eaten by Titan Falco, and that shock doesn’t really set in by the time Eren loses his head.

If Isayama left the Titan transformations for this chapter and saved Porco’s death and Eren’s decapitation for 120, I think the reality of the situation would settle much more smoothly.

FINAL Shingeki no Kyojin / Attack on Titan Manga Exhibition “Manga Ending” Atmospheric Audio & Map

A recording of the “Manga Ending” atmospheric audio (Said by Isayama Hajime as his personally-imagined sounds that depict the manga’s general conclusion) from the FINAL Exhibition can now be heard above! The last cry of “Eren!” is said to be voiced by Inoue Marina (Armin).

A Japanese fan has also created an approximate map of the audio room/hall (Photos of the outside area can be seen here).

Translation: @snknews

  1. Note: the entire room is pitch black save for some lights (Descriptions below)
  2. From the entrance, the first sounds appear to be cannon/artillery, as well as noises from possible overhead/airborne attacks. Explosions can be heard thereafter.
  3. Throughout the area are audible sounds of strong winds.
  4. At the second corner are sounds of materials on fire, as well as possible cries from humans.
  5. The hall then reveals some “unidentifiable lights” that move along the second corner area. Other light sources include two lamps: one at the second corner and the other near the exit.
  6. As you move through the second corner, there are noises indicating someone moving “above” you (ティンティン).
  7. Close to the end are sounds of 3DMG/ODM gear being used.
  8. The final part is Inoue Marina/Armin’s “Eren!!”

The FINAL Exhibition opened to the Japanese public today and will end its run on September 8th, 2019. A visual tour of the exhibition can be seen here.
