@novelsnetevent 01: get to know the members — if we were villains

enter the players. there were seven of us then, seven bright young things with wide precious futures ahead of us, though we saw no farther than the books in front of our faces. we were always surrounded by books and words and poetry, all the fierce passions of the world bound in leather and vellum.

hey gays happy indigenous peoples day. tuck and yang’s decolonization is not a metaphor (2012) is a read that i like to chew on and revisit a few times a year. you can find the pdf here (this article is open access, which means it was made to be distributed without paywall). the language can be a little difficult but even just reading through a little but of it today is a good exercise in actualizing and contextualizing all this talk of decolonization that exists on the web.
